I recently moved to South Carolina from California, where I lived in Yosemite National Park. While my primary focus is wedding photography, I am also a biologist, which brought me to this beautiful state. I love expressing my creative side through photography and witnessing the joy it brings to my clients. I specialize in a blend of editorial and documentary-style photography. I aim to capture natural moments as the day unfolds, but I’m also happy to give gentle guidance when needed.

Icelandic-born but raised stateside in New Mexico and South Carolina – thanks to the United States Air Force. My love of storytelling began as a child when I asked for a typewriter for Christmas. Friends and I composed neighborhood newsletters featuring imaginary residents along our street in Alamogordo, NM. After moving to Charleston, I was a yearbook and school newspaper staff member. Words transitioned to visual storytelling soon after I graduated from the College of Charleston. After freelancing for a couple of years, I studied at Ohio University. Focusing on visual communication, I concentrated on photojournalism and multimedia.

Taking pictures has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. People ask me all the time, what I do for a living? I respond I own King Street Photo Weddings. I am very blessed and honored to be an image-maker. My amazing team & I capture joyful, emotional, people at weddings.
