“Shukhrat and his wife Rachel just shot our June 8th wedding and we couldn't be happier. They were amazing to work with and the photos are phenomenal! About the pictures: Shukhrat is versatile and very skilled. When we took our engagement photos he provided us with various styles of photos and editing, and then used our feedback to guide the photos he took at our wedding. He is also flexible. We got married in a city park and there were wayyyy more people in the park than we were expecting at 6:00pm at night. Without missing any of the candid details or true-to-life colors that we wanted, Shukhrat was able to frame the photos and/or alter the lighting so that the park goers were barely visible in the background. Both Shukhrat and Rachel are also very skilled at giving direction when needed, but letting you do your own thing the rest of the time. Neither my husband nor I have a lot of experience in front of a camera—they gave us enough direction to feel confident, without making us feel stifled or overly posed. We wanted photos that felt organic and genuine, and they were really able to capture that. Working with Shukhrat and Rachel: The two of them were a dream to work with. Incredibly professional--very communicative, punctual, quick turnaround time on photos. And they are also just lovely people. You spend so much time on your wedding day with your photographers, it's really important to feel comfortable with them, and we certainly did. They brought both a fun, but calming energy, easing our pre-wedding jitters before the ceremony, and leaning into the excitement as the night went on. Although we hardly know them, they felt like friends. We are so glad we booked Shukhrat for our wedding!”

“It was love at first sight when I found Blooming Faith Photography on Zola! I was struck by the classic style of the portraits and natural air of those being photographed. It was exactly what I was looking for! Melissa was quick to respond to my inquiry and provided all the info I needed right off the bat. She is detailed and thorough in her correspondence and planning, which I appreciated since we only had 5 months to plan our wedding long distance. She offered an introductory Zoom consultation to discuss our vision for the photos so we could feel at ease leading up to the actual day. When the time came, Melissa was the consummate professional! We did a First Look shoot, and she lead the way completely, to avoid any awkward mishaps and to insure we got the moment captured on our video as well. All of our formal photos were posed beautifully and naturally, and she timed it all perfectly (which was great, because it was quite cold!) She’s also great with kids! Our flower girl and ring bearer had a great time doing photos. At both the ceremony and reception, Melissa didn’t miss a single moment yet remained respectful and discreet. Her experience and expertise is obvious! And the photos that we’ve seen so far have been absolutely gorgeous. Timeless and sophisticated while still capturing the joy from that day. “We met with Nicole about 2 months out from our wedding. We were so impressed by her organization! She created an almost minute-by-minute timeline for the day and was the point of contact for all of our vendors, bridal party & family, which allowed us to relax and enjoy our day without any stress or worries. Nicole was crucial in ensuring our day ran smoothly and kept the whole timeline on track and I can't even begin to describe what an important role she played. There are no words!!! Simply put, we don't know what we would have done without her!! My husband and I kept saying the next day, seriously though what would we have done?! When the florist only delivered 6 bouquets instead of 8 for my bridesmaids, she contacted the florist and had 2 more bouquets at the site of our pictures in what seemed like a blink of an eye! There was an issue with power for the ceremony, she was on it! There was a mix up with a last minute table addition, she fixed it! Which, by the way, I had absolutely NO idea about any of these issues until after the wedding. Almost all of our vendors went out of their way to mention how much they enjoyed working with Nicole & that they would jump at the opportunity to work with her again. If you’re on the fence about hiring a coordinator, my #1 advice as a newly married woman is- DO IT! And of course, hire Nicole!”

“Meg's work speaks for itself - she is so talented at what she does! She was amazing to work with from the first time I reached out to her to the big day. I sent over some ideas prior to my hair trial and after sharing a picture of my dress, she helped me pick the perfect style to match it. “Let’s start with “WOW!” We had a music festival themed wedding with four bands so music was a critical piece of our wedding weekend and the standards were high. We interviewed over 20 bands from the NYC area and decided to go with Vitamin M after really vibing with their band leader, JJ. And boy are we glad we did! JJ worked with us to curate the perfect performance for us and our guests. He was able to balance dance songs and classics alongside some custom requests that went off the beaten path of most traditional weddings from the likes of The Band, Talking Heads and The Clash. He even helped us surprise our guests with a singing introduction of the bride and groom. He took time to get to know us and was always happy to answer any questions we had. This was not a cookie cutter wedding band performance. This is a group of truly talented professional musicians putting on a real show. “This band is outstanding! Words can’t express our gratitude. Early in our planning, we checked out the band at a local bar. The enthusiasm from the mixed-age crowd solidified that we wanted to work with Covergirl. The band helped personalize a song for our first dance. We think their version is better than the original, and we wish we had recorded it. We found the band to be communicative throughout the lengthy process of planning. For example, they initiated checking in at the venue and adapted to family requests, such as a toast. They also provided a comprehensive set list to work from while proactively being open to our ideas. We found the sound technology choices to work well with the space and the stages of a reception. When the dinner took longer than expected, they added to the playlist accordingly. The volume level ended up a perfect balance for dancing and guests being able to chat. We must add that nearly every song got a different group on the dance floor each time. The band kept the dance floor active throughout the event. Our guests can’t stop mentioning the band’s excellence and kind approach; guests made it clear that they didn’t want the band to stop playing. “We were going to go with an off island photographer when we came across Eli and their work. Their knowledge of the island, how the wind blows differently on different sides of our venue, how the light hits perfectly on this side of the venue and we can still get an ocean view — that they care about the power lines and know how to avoid cars in the back of ceremony images. The list just went on and on and on. Working with Eli was like working with a walking encyclopedia of Block Island. And when you're getting married on the island, it's such an asset. Eli helped walk us through other on island vendors, best spots for our engagement sessions, different hotels that might suite certain guests better than others, an amazing casual rehearsal dinner/welcome party idea that was flawless, and I just couldn't be happier. When we got the images though, I didn't know what to say. Eli had captured so much of our story, we felt the same jitters getting ready to walk down the aisle looking through images of moments we didn't. get to experience on our wedding day (we were a little busy, getting married, and you just can't witness everything). We ended up doing his 6 hour package, and also customized it so we could get all of our raw footage.
