“We looked through a lot of different portfolios. We wanted to get a sense of who had the best photography skills combined with post-production prowess. Jim & Christy's work really stood out, even amidst the relatively crowded "wedding photography" space. That being said, we had pretty high hopes, going into our first shoot. One of the "added bonuses" you get with Jim & Christy is that they're both very, very adept at putting you at ease with their process. Right after we'd first spoken with them, going over a few ideas we had for our initial shoot, they'd immediately went and scouted out the area. We were very confident that they knew what they were doing + as soon as we got going they were also able to see extra opportunities for cool shots. They went above and beyond during the shoot to get us the most amount of shots and even found extra (more bonuses!) shots on top of what we'd planned. They did this all while we had the best natural lighting of the day + they'd even found more locations amongst the area where we'd originally planned to go. They were so efficient with our time--without ever making us feel rushed. Most importantly, we got to see the finished photos--which were even better than we'd (already had pretty high) hoped for! Amazing. Both of us kept repeating (and agreeing with each other) that their work looked "magazine quality". My fiancé, the Bride, felt like she looked great without coming off as "photoshopped" or "overly touched up". Basically, we felt like they'd just done a magazine-level-quality photo shoot for us. They even quickly (within a week) got us some sneak-peek selections--a few "early edition" shots--to prep our palettes for the final photos. We're just really impressed, and very grateful that we've chosen Jim & Christy to capture and preserve in literally *the best light possible* the memories from a very important period of time for us. Their top-tier quality immediately allows us to envision an entirely new level of presentation (in addition to the preservation) of our Wedding. We can't recommend them highly enough. In hindsight, it'd make sense to first book Jim & Christy, and *then* set the date for your Wedding. They're that crucial. Thank you so much, Jim & Christy. “Our wedding was perfect. Summer, the event manager, was so easy to work with and so flexible. Pricing was also affordable as we couldn't justify spending what a lot of people are spending on their weddings. Bonus that the food is amazing so what you get normally as a restaurant patron is what you can expect at your wedding. Only bummer is that it is a restaurant so you can't bring outside liquor or food (besides a cake). The food wasn't an issue for us as I wanted the fajitas and flan (hands down best flan I've ever had, by the way), but alcohol could have been cheaper if we could have brought our own. We did have to pay normal drink pricing which made this part hard to budget/plan as it went over what we anticipated even with champagne and a margarita fountain accounted for. But that’s not enough of a negative, just something to note when choosing this place. The South Patio in Cave Creek is so beautiful we hardly used (or needed) any decor. Best part about using this restaurant as our venue - we can now visit on future anniversaries for dinner and reminisce about our special day.”

The planning process was incredibly simple. With all the moving parts weddings encompass, the staff were very flexible and accommodating to what we wanted to make our day as special as it was. The setting for the ceremony and reception felt like we were in another world. Again, the planning for how we wanted our items set up were seamless with the staff's help. They made sure all the details we wanted were accommodated for. Lastly, but certainly very important and helpful was the cleanup for the end of the night. Staff were on point with making sure we had all our belongings and items needed prior to departing the venue. We had no worries with making sure everything was cleaned up and accounted for. Overall, our day was perfect and so happy we chose Venue at the Grove. Between the early consultations for planning, the beautiful setting, and logistics at the end of the night, I would recommend this venue to anyone searching for a location for their special day.”

“We LOVE Andrea! The second we met her in our initial call, we knew that she was the perfect photographer for us. We are both a little camera shy and awkward, and Andrea made us feel comfortable and taken care of! We had Andrea shoot both our engagement photos and our wedding day, and both times, we were absolutely thrilled at how the session/day went, as well as how the photos turned out.
