First, the property began showing films, before reopening as a concert hall, and finally closing its doors 80 successful years later. In 2019, the theatre reopened to welcome members of the public once again into a world of fun and creativity. Located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s historic Strip District, The Art Room is a 4,000 square foot, modern industrial event space. Its rustic yet refined feel makes this space the perfect venue for your special occasion. The Art Room was born in Fall 2019 on the concept of creating an event space with the juxtaposition of industrial and fine arts. After seeing the rustic space, we started renovations right away. Given the timing of opening our space, we, like many others, were halted due to COVD-19. Beginning in the Spring of 2021 we were able to resume hosting events and honing in on the original concept of a versatile event venue partnered with a fine arts gallery.

Made with love in the heart of the City of Champions, Wigle Spirits are a true expression and quintessential experience in the welcoming community that is Pittsburgh. Wigle Whiskey is the most awarded craft distillery by the American Craft Spirits Association for the past decade.

Our distillery is housed in a 1906 carriage house built of Pennsylvania hardwood and steel. In 2019, we won a Pennsylvania Historic Preservation award for its striking, natural charm and our attention to authentic detail. The lounge, loft, bar and apothecary are unforgettable settings for special events, weddings, celebrations, and much more!

Upon entering the venue, formerly known to be the Franklin Savings and Trust Company, your guests will be welcomed to the main event space where no detail goes untouched. The natural light pours making the entire space feel alluring, energizing, and lively. It’s easy to envision getting married and celebrating with your favorite people. The original columns surround the newly installed custom black and white dance floor where your guests will dance the night away. Modern chandeliers installed overhead provide the perfect mood lighting for the evening.
