We got married at the Sheraton on 9/7/24. We had the most amazing experience there. Everything was perfect and went off seamlessly. The food was AMAZING. We had many guests that said it was the best wedding food they have ever had. Melissa was our point person and she was a GODSEND. She answered all my constant questions and worked so hard to make our day perfect. Melissa and all her staff made the wedding planning process so easy and enjoyable. Our venue was decorated beautifully with the decorations we provided, and we received endless compliments on the venue. The food was delicious and the CSC staff clearly put a lot of thought into the cookie table arrangement. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. When looking for a wedding venue we knew we wanted something more unique and fun, and the Warhol was a perfect fit. We did have some initial hesitation about the quick turnaround time from the museum closing to our event starting, but we were reassured by the Warhol team that they do it all the time and it would not be an issue. And it truly was not an issue at all, they are PROS and had the room set up perfectly even ahead of schedule. There are also so many activities / fun activations you can have at your wedding with the Warhol like gallery tours, a custom photobooth, and screen printing. The food was also excellent! When people ask where you're having your wedding and you say "The Andy Warhol Museum" be prepared for a lot of "oh wow" and "that's so cool" because it really is so special to be able to host an event here and guests will love it. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Dylan and LaSawn on the Carnegie Museums/Warhol team and Heather from the Culinaire catering team who were all so wonderful and kind. Extra-special shoutout to Heather because we worked with her from day one and she is just AMAZING, and truly one of the best parts of our wedding planning process. If you're considering the Warhol for your wedding, you won't regret it!

Where to even begin to give my praises about Hotel Monaco and their event staff - not only was our night absolutely perfect but the entire process leading up to the day was seamless and stress free! You are provided a coordinator (ours was Lindsey!), who provided support (planning, advice, organization, instant communication, etc.) that went above and beyond my expectations. There is nothing quite as valuable as knowing before hand that your big day is taken care of and you can enjoy your day without a worry. Additionally, every guest raved about the food and drinks. The venue being at a hotel is obviously beyond convenient, did not need to set up/pay for extra transportation and we were treated like royalty all weekend long at the hotel! Stunning photos all around the hotel, rooftop, and downtown are just an added bonus. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience!

Hosting our wedding at the New Hazlett Theater was a total dream. When looking for a venue for our reception, we were seeking a place that reflected our personalities. It's so hard to find a unique venue with character and history, and the space itself is all of that! It was so fun to be able to celebrate our wedding in a place where we had previously attended shows. The theater is unique yet timeless, and we were thrilled that we could spend part of our wedding day there. Beyond that, working with the team there was such a seamless and amazing experience. From our first meeting the team made me feel so taken care of - it was like meeting trusted friends. They were so easygoing and friendly, and brainstorming ideas with them was so fun. Every little detail was just as I had envisioned. It was so important that we worked with business that aligned with our personalities but also values as well, and we absolutely found that in the team at New Hazlett Theater. Our wedding day was so special as it was the only time in our lives that everyone we love and care about most will be together under one roof - and hosting it at the New Hazlett Theater made it EVEN MORE special.

Pittsburgh's Grand Hall At The Priory

Grand. How else do describe a building whose story is woven into the history of Pittsburgh? A landmark transformed into the most striking special event facility in Western Pennsylvania. Whether it's the Grand Hall's rolling barrel vaults and arches, its massive supporting columns topped with gold-leafed Corinthian capitals, or the intricate, gold-plated stencil-work gracing the ceiling, the Pittsburgh's Grand Hall never fails to inspire awe in those who come through her doors.

We highly recommend Pittsburgh's Grand Hall for your wedding!!!!! Every single guest mentioned how beautiful the venue was, and how well-run and organized the venue handled our wedding. Not to mention The Priory hotel is attached which was convenient for our out of town guests! There was nothing more we could have asked for. The wedding packages were very inclusive, and everything ran like clockwork!

The Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh was an exceptional choice for our wedding venue. Their communication style was clear, polite, detailed, and attentive throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself was budget-friendly, had a rustic charm, and provided ample space for our celebration. The staff kept the beer flowing, and the servers were incredibly attentive to us as the bride and groom, ensuring we were well-fed and always had a drink in hand. The schnitzel and spinach artichoke dip were absolute highlights of the menu, which the venue coordinator and chef helped us curate to perfectly suit our needs and budget. Being based in San Diego, their great communication skills were invaluable, and we would absolutely plan future events at the Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh.

Kingfly Spirits (pittsburgh)

5.0

Pittsburgh, PA
  • Up to 225 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor

Our distillery is housed in a 1906 carriage house built of Pennsylvania hardwood and steel. In 2019, we won a Pennsylvania Historic Preservation award for its striking, natural charm and our attention to authentic detail. The lounge, loft, bar and apothecary are unforgettable settings for special events, weddings, celebrations, and much more!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Accommodates more than 200 guests
  • Provides event staff

Venue considerations

  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • On-site parking not available
For couples who do not want a ballroom/traditional wedding venue, Kingfly is the perfect place. My husband and I used Kingfly for our December wedding for both the ceremony and reception. While the space isn't necessarily great for a ceremony and I was nervous about how it work practically, I ended up really liking it. While we had 170 guests, we ended up having a more intimate ceremony with only 16 guests and the wedding party around us while the rest of the guests were further away due to only space limitations. Looking back, I actually think this was perfect because the ceremony felt so much more intimate than it would have been in a more traditional ceremony space. It is perfect for a reception space! The space is two floors and loft style. We used the upstairs as the central place where dancing and dinner would be served - which was perfect. The large bar and lounge areas downstairs made that the perfect place for guests who preferred to hang out and talk rather than dance. It is really a unique space and I received so many compliments from guests as it being one of the best wedding venues they've ever been to! Because it is a distillery/cocktail bar, you have to use all of their alcohol - but this is a great thing because their liquor, cocktails, and beer/wine/cider selections are phenomenal and very reasonably priced! In speaking with others who had open bars with cheaper liquor, beer, and wine selections, I spent just about the same for high end selections and excellent craft cocktails. Everyone was raving about the drinks throughout the end and the bartenders were amazing and did such a great job! As for the event coordinators (Francesca and Erin), they were wonderful. They were super helpful throughout the entire process and eased my nerves because I was genuinely panicked about the guest count (170) working in a space probably more suited for smaller weddings. They were both very professional, great to work with, and I felt I could really trust them to execute well. Overall, I was just thrilled with this venue and staff and could not be happier with how everything worked out!

The Broderie Room and the Conservatory itself is just phenomenal. The spring flowers were beyond gorgeous and I can't say enough great things about the beauty throughout the entire building. The first time we saw the Mansions on Fifth, we thought it was the perfect venue for our big day... and it was! The entire historic property is absolutely stunning, both the exterior and the interiors of each room (you'll have some amazing photos!). The many food options we tried were all delicious and the chef was accommodating in making any menu adjustments we requested. The whole staff was super helpful and professional, with a special shoutout to the event manager Marissa, who helped plan our wedding though the months leading up; and to the day-of event manager Zach, who expertly kept everything on track and helped make the day perfect. I'd say the venue is ideal for a small to medium sized event, we had 40 people and it was great. Aside from events, it is still a very cool place to stay if you’re in the Shadyside area for a night or two.

Alla Famiglia was started in 1997. Another fine Italian restaurant created from the mind of David Ayn. In 2005, Ayn approached a young & ambitious chef Jonathan Vlasic to purchase the 8-table restaurant from him. Mr. Vlasic was a perfect fit to receive the baton and move the restaurant into a new future. Alla Famiglia has evolved into a restaurant which is a representation of the years of formal culinary training of Mr.Vlasic and his family of Roman&Emilia descent. The result was an eatery of superior quality with disciplined technique, vivid imagination, and passion for perfection. Through the next 14 years, the restaurant evolves, expands and stretches its footprint to accommodate its increasing popularity and growing demand. In 2014, Mr. Vlasic decides to purchase the property adjacent to the restaurant and bring his vision to a full circle. “Il Teatro” is born in the winter of 2017. It is now reinvented into its original depression art deco-era for Alla Famiglia guests to enjoy.
