Westbury Manor was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we first spoke with the team, their communication was detailed, professional, and so friendly and welcoming. The grounds were beautifully maintained, providing an incredible backdrop for our wedding photos. Our maitre d', Phil, was incredible. He orchestrated the day perfectly. Our bridal attendant, Claudia, was truly exceptional - we were able to turn off our brains and just enjoy the day thanks to them. Phil and Claudia were a huge reason why our wedding day was so wonderful and we cannot thank them enough. They are masters at their jobs. The food was amazing, and we felt we got great value for our money. We're so grateful to the entire Westbury Manor team for making our special day truly perfect.

Jericho Terrace was a wonderful venue for our wedding. Toni Anne and Chad were always easy to communicate with, professional, and accommodating throughout the planning process. The venue itself is beautiful and elegant, with reasonable pricing. Jericho Terrace went above and beyond by crafting a custom signature drink for our reception that was a big hit with guests. The ballroom transforms beautifully for the reception with the built-in lighting and draping. We received so many compliments from guests on the food and overall ambiance. Toni Anne and Chad were there on the day-of to make sure everything ran smoothly. We highly recommend Jericho Terrace as a wedding venue.

GCH was the most amazing venue. I’ve been to a majority of the venues on Long Island but this one took the cake. The food was OUTSTANDING (everyone raves about it), the people (especially Paul) were so unbelievably helpful and amazing. My bridal attendant Nang was WOW. She held my train everywhere while we were walking and fluffed it to help the photographers, she always had water for me and the groom, she carried my lipsticks and had me reapplying, she bustled my dress so easily so we didn’t have to bother my mom, she got mine and my husbands afterparty outfits ready for us so we didn’t have to go upstairs… the list goes on and on. If you want a venue that makes your life super easy leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding and one that your guests will rave about for literally months this is the place.

The renovations to the village club are incredible and give the venue a fresh new look! Barry and Amy really run such a smooth operation the day of the wedding. From the moment we arrived, Amy told us where to go, what to do and where we had to be. Barry and Amy provided us with drinks for the bridal suite and made sure everyone was taken care of! They both kept checking on us throughout the night to make sure we were eating, drinking and having the best night ever. Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.

My husband and I just got married at Terrace on the Park on 2/17/24 in the Penthouse. The venue is absolutely stunning. We had looked at plenty of venues before selecting this one. From the start, Mildred was so helpful. Answering any questions we had and making sure all of our expectations were met and exceeded. The finalist manager, Nicole, was also amazing. Both her & Mildred were there on our wedding day to make sure everything went as planned. The chapel was set up beautifully for our ceremony, and the cocktail hour in the garden suite was amazing (from what we heard). The venue itself provides breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding landmarks, such as the world’s fair globe, citifield, Arthur Ashe stadium, and others. I wish I could go back to the beginning and plan it again with the same people!

We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. There are so many things that make this venue special. The service, the scenery, the food, and the run of show were all spectacular. The service. We received attentive and detailed service throughout the entire planning process. The director of events, Bob, answered all of our emails promptly and with detail. He is a wonderful man who goes above and beyond to make sure that we were thoroughly satisfied and feeling well taken care of. Bob was so fantastic at helping us come up with solutions to challenges that emerged at different stages of the planning process, and we couldn’t have pulled off the party we wanted without his patience, thoughtfulness, and support. On the day of, we were made to feel so special by all the staff at MBYC. We were given a personal “bridal attendant” who followed us around all day and attended to any needs we had that came up- like holding my bouquet during photos, getting us fresh drinks, grabbing some items from the bridal suite. All of our guests were telling us how impressed they were by the level of service and consideration they received from all the staff. Everyone was kind, professional, and in great spirits. The scenery. The venue space at MB&YC is truly RIGHT on the water! It is so incredibly gorgeous. The cocktail hour is on a beautiful deck over the water. The reception is in a ballroom with giant windows facing the water. The space does not need much more decoration to feel special. It is elegant and special, yet practical, home-y, and not at all stuffy. The food. We were so impressed by the food. Typically wedding food is basic and mass produced, but every dish at MB&YC felt special. We had so many friends after the wedding recounting their favorite bites throughout the night. The mac and cheese bites as well as the New York Strip Steak were definitely crowd pleasers. Not only was the food plentiful, but it was all also incredibly tasty. Bob and his staff also made sure to take care of our guests with dietary restrictions. Everyone ate well at our wedding. The run of show. Bob and his team were working very hard the evening of our wedding to ensure the schedule was kept and everything went as planned. Leading up to the event, Bob heard all of our concerns and desires, and he was able to execute a fabulous event the evening of our wedding. I was never once concerned that something was missing or forgotten, I trusted Bob and I knew he was going to make sure we had a perfect night. Overall, definitely book your wedding here at MB&YC! We can’t speak highly enough about our special day here!

We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of The Bogart House as our wedding venue. The rose room is such a unique venue in LIC that offers incredible views of the city!! However, the liberty to transform the venue into any type of space is what I loved most - its a gorgeous blank canvas that lends itself to any theme. Erica has been so great to work with - unfortunately the wedding planning process can be filled with roadblocks and hurdles but the rose room has by far been the least complicated vendor to work with!

Last month we hosted our 125 person wedding at the Wythe Hotel in our local Brooklyn. We could not have asked for a more beautiful city venue or a more helpful team. Our sales director JD and our event coordinator Cassie are such pros-- both veterans of the NYC wedding industry-- and they helped make the day a real breeze. At the Wythe you really get what you pay for. We had a Saturday "off-season" wedding so the F&B minimums were high but easily met with our guest count. Our 395 a head included a premium open bar, multiple signature cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres, a market station, a plated family style meal, coffee service, a wedding cake, all hospitality staff, coat check, A/V team, and hotel discounts. If we hadn't wanted to add extra florals and decor, the space truly would've been gorgeous bare. The Wythe team helped us manage the rest of our vendors and recommended some if we needed. We stayed onsite in one of their giant suites, which was perfect for getting ready and for first look photos. Cannot recommend this vendor enough!!

Where do I begin? I had my wedding during COVID, which wasn't easy on anyone. But, still deciding to get married, having it at Premier718, was the best decision we made. Everything went off without a hitch. Jeanette took all the pressure off my back. I gave her my ideas and she bought each one to life. I didn't see anything right until I walked in after the ceremony and when I tell you I was completely in love! The venue is modern, clean, and spacious. We had our wedding at El Caribe on 08/26/2023 and our wedding day was perfect! My wife legitimately cried when she entered the Tiara ballroom. It was the only time she cried the entire day... she didn’t even shed a tear at the church lol. It well more than exceeded our expectations. Cocktail hour was incredible! My wife and I didn’t attend cocktail hour but we were able to see some photos from our guests and it was unbelievable! Cocktail hour included a lobster wall, an oyster shucking station, fresh mozzarella being made fresh in front of your eyes… it was incredible. We wish we had attended our cocktail hour just to view everything in person but we knew that we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy any of the food if we did (as we would have been approached by everyone trying to talk to us and wish us congratulations). Instead we enjoyed all the food being served at the cocktail hour in a separate private room. The staff and service was incredible! Alan was super attentive. He made sure that we stayed hydrated and were able to actually enjoy the food from our cocktail hour and dinner. During our private cocktail hour, Alan dressed my wife in a white tablecloth (so she didn’t spill anything on her dress) and was attending to our every needs. One of my groomsmen’s wives joined us in our private room (she was pregnant and we welcomed her to join us so she could be comfortable) and she commented how awesome and attentive the staff was and how the staff at her venue practically forgot about her wedding (we didn’t ask for her to elaborate lol). Similarly Ashley (the bridal attendant) and George were awesome as well! The MOH was struggling to bustle my wife’s dress and Ashley just took over and bustled it up quickly! I would highly suggest El Caribe for your wedding venue! After attending my wedding my cousin (who experienced El Caribe for the first time at my wedding) booked his wedding at El Caribe shortly afterwards. Also, your cake from Aliotta Pastry Shop is included when you book with El Caribe and the cake was phenomenal.

The W Loft is a great venue for anyone having a smaller wedding/event who wants beautiful city views. I had a wonderful October wedding here and was very fortunate to avoid rain so my guests could make use of the balcony. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is that this is a very weather dependent venue. Had it been rain and we’d be limited to inside space only, it would have been a little too cramped. I’d give 6 stars if I could. From planning to execution, 5 East couldn’t have been better. The food tasting before the wedding is an underrated part of the experience. Since you don’t really eat on wedding day, it’s your chance to appreciate the quality of the dinner your guests will enjoy.

HISTORY OF ROWSLEY The Scarsdale Woman's Club is headquartered in Rowsley, a 19th century manor house, set on almost four acres amid magnificent trees and plantings. The house was built in 1858 by William Bailey Lang, an English iron merchant. He fashioned it after a property in Derbyshire, England. Among the notable plantings on the site are the 470-year-old white oak tree and the massive rhododendron, both in the front of the property. Rowsley was named an Historic Landmark by the Village of Scarsdale in 1968, and in 2008, it was designated by the nation as a site on its National Register of Historic Places. From the beginning, Marianne and Chris were open and communicative, making us feel like part of their family as we planned our special day. Their committee members were amazing to work with, helping us utilize the timeless, warm, and stunning space to perfection. On the day of, Art worked tirelessly to set up and break down everything seamlessly. The entire team contributed to making our wedding day special and worry-free. We're so grateful for their hard work and highly recommend the Scarsdale Woman's Club to any couple looking for a beautiful, welcoming venue with top-notch service. This wedding venue is beautiful and has a spacious parking lot which is convenient for Brooklyn. There were so many appetizers and the guests really enjoyed their food. Richie Jr. is THE BEST person you could work with (easy to talk to and knowledgeable) and trust to handle all of the details. For example, we didn’t initially like the cake with the bakery they worked with but they spoke with them to custom-make it to our taste so it was delicious. Plus my husband is gluten free and once we provided the gluten-free bread crumbs, Richie worked with the chef to make some appetizers work for him. The packages were also really reasonably priced and it came with valet parking, doorman, hostess, master of ceremonies, maitre d’, head waiter, etc. They have multiple event rooms (the second floor is also going to be renovated in 2022 but I wish they would take the old red carpeting in the Patrician room - where we were since it is outdated). In the Patrician Room, we did have placement issues with the TV and cold sparkler machines so my advice for the couple is not to have the DJ in the back corner, have them closer to the dais on the right or left hand side so the lights and other tech will be worth it and if the cold sparklers are in the back corner, we can’t take pics with it but if they are in the front they set off the fire alarms so I hope this doesn’t happen with the other event rooms in terms of layout. The ladies restroom/powder room is really nice but the men’s restroom is outdated and painted green so it could use an update. But amazing chandeliers and there is also a small garden by the side area in case people want to go out for some air. Overall, you’ll have a great wedding planning experience and it’s an affordable venue with good food.

Everyone at the Essex Club was amazing We hosted our wedding here in mid-November. We received countless compliments on the delicious cuisine and the wonderful, welcoming service. The venue had an amazing atmosphere, and Jessica was responsive and answered all of our questions. On the day of the wedding, Jancey, the bridal attendant, and Maitre d' were both attentive, and did a wonderful job and excellent customer service.
