“We couldn't be happier with Marty at our recent wedding! From start to finish, he exceeded our expectations in every way. First and foremost, his attention to detail is amazing -- he noticed a discrepancy between the couple introduction song that we had put in the Vibo app versus what our day of coordinator had on her wedding timeline. He then reached out to the day of coordinator to figure out which song was correct. He also took the time to understand what we were looking for for our cocktail hour and wedding reception. He reached out many times prior to our wedding to check in with us and make sure that all of our questions were answered. It was clear that he genuinely cares about providing a memorable experience. Marty is also flexible. Originally the plan was for our dance floor to be outside. However, due to a heat wave we ended up deciding to move the dance floor inside. Marty was able to easily accommodate this request and he also offered to put speakers outside so guests who were out on the deck would still be able to hear the music. We also recommend going with the up-lighting. He did a great job setting up the lights. The lights actually change colors and really change the vibe of the reception room once the party gets started! The live music he delivered during cocktail hour was a standout of the night. We had so many compliments from guests about his cocktail hour performance. Another aspect that truly set Marty apart was his willingness to go above and beyond. Not only did he do a great job reading the vibe of the room in order to keep the dance floor lively, but at one point he also helped with cleaning up dinner plates. He showed a level of dedication and professionalism that's rare to find. Marty played a crucial role in making our wedding a success. We highly recommend him for any occasion!”

“From the first day we reached out to Brian about his DJ services all the way through our wedding day he was absolutely outstanding! The app was an awesome way to communicate and my husband and I had a blast sitting down to dig through our Spotify playlists and add songs to it. “DJ Kashif was the DJ for the mehndi of my multi-cultural (Pakistani and Palestinian) wedding. Naturally, for a mixed Desi and Arab wedding, it's always a point of concern to make sure people from both cultures are enjoying the music and having a good time throughout the event. DJ Kashif did a fantastic job in his song selection for the event. Attendees of the event had absolutely no complaints about the music (which is extremely impressive for mixed weddings) and had everyone on the dance floor. He was able to play mehndi mixes that were brought last minute with zero issue, and had a great personality for livening up the crowd. The uplighting that he brought for the dancefloor completely changed the mood and got everyone reenergized too! For the venue we were at, he was able to fix issues related to the light/power going out quickly and was able to change the lighting too. “Booking Active DJ, specifically Martin, was the best money we spent on we our wedding!!! Let me start by saying he's just really easy to work. He has a calm demeanor, is a great listener, and provided us with prompt/proactive communication which we really appreciated. The month before the wedding we met with Martin and he gave feedback on songs/confirmed the vibe we were going for. Let me just say he absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! The dance floor was packed all night which was exactly what we wanted. He is one of the only DJ's I know that constantly reads the crowd. If he can tell people aren't liking a song, he will change it to keep everything lively. “I truly cannot recommend them enough. I can confidently brag that we had the best wedding band I’ve ever heard. We saw them perform at another wedding and booked them in between sets they were so good. For ours, we had a 7 piece band perform for the reception and it was so incredible (Motown, funk, oldies, and pop). They brought great energy and the music was amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests. They also did the audio for the ceremony and cocktail hour (just recorded songs, not live) and MC’ed the whole event. It went so smoothly. We filled out an extensive form they have and then met to review the plan for the day. It went off perfectly and flowed so well. Definitely worth asking for Kelley the pianist because he’s also a great singer. My one note is we got a wireless mic for the ceremony and there was a little delay in the audio so it was a little disorienting to speak like there was an echo. It making reading vows a little hard. So I’d recommend either talking to them about that or going with a wired mic, maybe.”

Other than our song for walking down the aisle, we didn’t have strong preferences. Tori got to know our personalities and preferences and made music choices for us that fit the mood of our gathering and ceremony perfectly! We heard some samples of the music during our planning session and were already touched and tearing up. Working with Tori was truly one of the least stressful parts of planning the wedding and we never had to worry about music in the ceremony. We also cried when they sent us the special recording of their arrangement of Ben Platt’s “So Will I” that we loved for walking down the aisle. It was so special to have personalized and unique music arranged for our day, and a commemorative recording we can listen to forever. We cannot recommend Tori highly enough! On a sheer whim, we emailed him when it was clear our original plan of "oh we'll just make a few playlists" was absolutely not going to happen. “Even in 2024, booking vendors for a gay wedding can be stressful. You never know if you are going to be met with animosity simply for requesting their services, and sometimes seeking out services that cater to gay weddings can be intentionally overpriced due to their rarity. I browsed through Zola, but I could not find a way to filter for lgbt friendly vendors, but googling DJ Triplicate and finding his storefront allowed me to book him. 5/5 A communication, and performance!
