I started my business after my mother had passed away from pancreatic cancer. She knew I could make a name for myself capturing people’s memories for them. And she was right! I absolutely love capturing your day, the raw emotions and candid shots, making your memories tangible for you to have forever!

Kaitie’s work is so earthly and amazing! She’s very good at working with men who don’t love taking pictures. Makes you feel right at home and will work with you on anything you need!

I chose Hailey from the moment we had our initial call to talk through her services. She listened so well to our wedding vision & asked thoughtful questions. We were forgoing a wedding coordinator & other “extras.” Hailey was still excited to take us on as clients which some photographers would not have. I was ready to confirm during the call with how supportive and excited she sounded about our day. From this call, she sent over her proposal for cost & information very quickly. She was responsive via text & email to any questions we had. Closer to the date, she sent over a questionnaire so she could be prepared with the photos we wanted. It also included tips & guidance on making sure the experience is smooth. This was super helpful. During the wedding, I was blown away by her and her second shooter. She was decisive when we needed someone to make a decision, supportive to me as a bride, went above and beyond to handle any last minute changes or hiccups with grace. My husband and I had never had professional photos taken. She made it sooo easy and fun! The photos are sooo creative and I continue to pinch myself that they are ours! Wow! Here’s where she deserves to be shouted from the rooftops: We scheduled a hike we wanted photographed to a waterfall on site at the venue (our venue at Hawkesdene in NC lodges all guests for 2 nights). The venue shared it was 1 mile in/out and not difficult. Well it HAILED the night before and rained all night so the path was flooded and muddy. We had to decide to forge ahead or cancel. She without hesitation was ready to forge ahead, ruining her shoes, to ensure we could still have our hike documented with our guests. She encouraged me along the way and I am so grateful because the photos are just incredible. Anyone would be truly lucky to have Hailey capture their wedding. This review doesn’t do her or her skills justice. I will forever cheer her on & can’t wait to find an opportunity to work with her again in the future.

EDITORIAL MEETS DOCUMENTARY If you're looking for a photographer who captures the little moments and preserves your day in the way it happened, while bringing in the feel of curated images and an elevated experience, you're in the right place. Images will be created by curating artistic images with posing & prompts, while eliminating the feeling of your day being a production and capturing the real things as they happen. True-to-life and true-to-color is the vibe here to give you photos you'll want to share and hang on your walls until the end of time. If you're looking for magical, intentional photos that just scream you, let's connect.

You can see from Hannah's work on her page that she is an AMAZING photographer. Her work speaks for me. She captured our day perfectly, she didn't miss a shot and captured moments that I otherwise would not have remembered. Her style is unique and really captures the ethereal beauty of a wedding day. What you cannot see from her work is how she manages a wedding day. This woman will be everything you need by your side at your wedding. My veil kept falling off, she pulled the bobby pins from her own hair to keep my veil in place. She knew the timeline of the day and helped us to stay on it. She gracefully kept bridal party stresses off my plate all day. Hannah was 100% present and 100% on top of the day. If you are debating if you want to hire Hannah, just know you are getting not only an incredible photographer but also a person who is willing to be whatever you need to have a stress-free day.

I'm the one behind the camera that is bigger than my face. Since 2007, my mission has been to capture every precious moment, both candid & posed, without being obtrusive. Each image should take you right back to that emotion for years to come. You will spend more time with your photographer on your wedding day than anyone else, so make sure whomever you choose, you have a good connection with. My goal is to spoil my clients with amazing images, of course, but also to create a calm environment by having a positive attitude & servant spirit.

If anyone is looking for a photographer, pick Shanell and you won’t be disappointed! We hired Shanell for our wedding in Pigeon Forge, TN on December 4th, 2020. She was available from the beginning to answer any questions that would come up and was great with communication throughout the whole process. The day of our wedding, it rained all day. I thought for sure that pictures would be limited by the weather, but Shanell thought otherwise. Her and her second photographer, Danielle, were troopers and took some amazing photos of us in the rain. It was pretty darn cold, everything was soaked, and yet they were able to capture pictures that I will cherish forever! She made the experience so fun and made us forget about the weather conditions. Besides being willing to take pictures in the rain, Shanell does an awesome job at paying attention to the small details. The wedding album and even the USB drive we received were personalized with special touches that made them feel so special. Shanell is so great to work with and will do a fantastic job at capturing memories for any occasion. I highly recommend Shanell as a photographer and will definitely be making a road trip in the future to see her again for more pictures!

Hey! I’m Sam. I’m a national featured wedding + destination elopement photographer based in TN but travel all over the US and beyond. This will be my third year full time but my twelfth year of my love affair with photography. I also teach other photographers through workshops and retreats. I’m in this business because I absolutely love to serve my couples. From the initial phone consultation to the delivery of the final images, I try to make sure each couple of mine know how important they are to me. It is such an honor to capture so many love stories each year and I would absolutely love to tell yours!

SHP is AMAZING!!! First of all, she’s super easy to work with. We were 7 hours away from our venue and she worked with us to find the perfect engagement session within a reasonable drive. Secondly, her editing style is absolutely stunning!!! I can’t get over how amazing everything turned out. Every picture hanging in my house is one that she took. Thirdly, she made our engagement session and wedding day SO FUN! I was kind of nervous that I would be awkward, but I’ve never laughed so hard while taking pics. At our wedding, she made sure to capture the genuine moments, the sweet moments, the sappy moments, and of course the super fun moments! I feel like her photos are the perfect retelling of our wedding day!! I truly feel like her photos captured our personalities and relationship perfectly.

My name is Rabeeh and I'm new to ZOLA (you can see over 250 reviews on my Knot profile). When I first started taking pictures, I can honestly say that I didn't plan on becoming a wedding photographer. Most other photographers I socialized with would tell me how stressful and demanding wedding photography could be. Over a decade and numerous weddings later, I must strongly disagree! I want you to relax, breathe deeply, and experience every moment of your wedding with as little worry or concern as possible. A little about myself, I am an easy going guy who enjoys numerous hobbies ranging from collecting antique cameras to the art of bonsai.

To say I highly recommend Blue Dahlia Photography is an understatement. Originally we got our engagement photos taken with Rabeeh and I initially thought it would be super awkward walking around town getting our picture taken but he made us feel so comfortable. The photos turned out amazing! He answered any questions we had. And he got our pictures back to us quickly. Then when our wedding rolled around we took a chance and asked if he’d be willing to travel to New Orleans to be our wedding photographer as well. He said yes and we were beyond thrilled! He was a huge reason why our wedding ran as smoothly as it did. He walked us through the our whole day and made us feel at ease. In short, he was amazing and you should hire him!

Welcome to our creative world! We are David and Katie, a photo and video dynamic duo from the peach state. But, we are more than just visual storytellers. We want to get to know you and build a friendship that extends beyond our lens. Our goal is to capture genuine memories that you'll cherish for years to come.

Katie and David were a dream team for our May 2024 Wedding! They were one of our favorite vendors! We met with Katie almost 1.5 years prior to our wedding and were immediately put at ease and booked right away. We chose a 10 hour, 2 photographer package to make sure that we had all our bases covered - and we are SO happy that we did. From our engagement session in April 2023 to our wedding in May 2024, Katie and David made us feel so comfortable, confident and relaxed. Katie made sure we had all the shots we wanted and was so understanding and flexible with varying family dynamics, self-confidence worries, etc. She kept everything on track, in conjunction with our coordinator, and really made everything so fun and effortless! We received our sneak peeks 2-3 days after the wedding and they were STUNNING! We cannot wait to see the full gallery!! The day-of the wedding, we were worried it was going to storm and Katie came prepared with alternative options and photos that would have embraced the rain in all it's glory - really putting us at ease. Luckily, the weather cleared up and we were back to Plan A - but we know that she would have made the best of the situation! We could not recommend Katie enough and feel so lucky to be one of her wedding couples! We would re-book her in a heartbeat! We cannot thank them enough for giving us our memories to last a lifetime!!
