As I honed in on my craft I began to photograph on a more professional level right out of high school, but stepped away for academic pursuits. After completing both a bachelors and master's degree in Anthropology, I came full circle, determining that a career in doing something creative was where my heart lies. I’ve been a photographer for over 15 years. My journey started at Mississippi School of the Arts where I first saw the magic of a photo develop in a darkroom! I have a bachelor's degree in Photojournalism from Southern Miss and worked as a professional marketing photographer for 6 years before moving on full-time to wedding photography. That important step has proven fruitful as my passion for capturing real moments has been fulfilled by capturing the magic of loving couples. Now after 2 years of booking my calendar up and meeting with beautiful people from all over the southeast, I can reliably say my expertise is serving a higher purpose.

We are husband/wife team consisting of Erica and Tyson, who have been married for almost 17 years and capturing hundreds of weddings for almost 13 years. I am a fine art wedding photographer and wedding planner, wife, and mother to our three sweet babies! I first fell in love with photography at an early age. I became very inspired watching my father photograph weddings and capturing the authentic joy on his clients best day. It was then that I fell in love with the concept of love and knew what I wanted to do. I went on to film photography in high school and digital photography in college. After college I started a job as a party coordinator. I did this for years. Then, on blind faith started my own journey into the world of photography and wedding planning!

I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. That is how I came to the style that I shoot now, still blending the two parts of my life.
