The Ludlow Mansion is steeped in history from the early beginning as a homestead of a 3,000 acre farm and a stop on the underground railroad, to today as a preeminent regional gathering place for great events. Five suites are available for overnight accommodations and access for photos and videos can be obtained in this historic homestead. The Mansion's grounds invite guests to enjoy friends and family under the shadow of its four two-story columned porch or its great white pergola. The Saddle Room bar offers both a comfortable lounge around its famous sunken bar or a patio chair to watch the sunset over the Mansion grounds. Extensive indoor spaces include a cavernous Carriage Hall which allows for a fabulous ceremony space with three giant chandeliers and can be converted dance central with party lights for the perfect late night experience. Barnwood Events is 10 minutes from Downtown Madison next to the Capital City Bike Trail in a park-like country setting. This brand new barn timber frame building is built with modern amenities for year round events. The venue includes free parking for up to 170 cars and an onsite renovated farmhouse that sleeps up to 14 guests. The barn seats up to 300 inside and has 8 acres of green space and large mature trees that include several options for outdoor or indoor ceremonies and receptions.
