Ethereal Moments Art

5.0

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $1,800
  • Serves Barnardsville, NC
  • Offer

My name is Wioletta, but you can call me Viola. I am a professional photographer based in the mountains of North Carolina where I reside with my three children, partner, a Great Pyrenees dog and a Siamese cat. I have a degree in Visual Art, but I have been fascinated by photography since I was 14 years old. I moved to the United States from Poland when I was just 16. I created my first photography business in 2010 where I shot moody and aesthetic self-portraits that I later sold as prints. I also designed logos and CD covers for bands. I created my wedding business, Ethereal Moments Art, in 2018 and ever since it has continued to grow.

Ethereal Moments Art was our wedding photographer, and we couldn't be happier with their services. From our first interaction, they were incredibly knowledgeable, personable and friendly, making the entire process easy and enjoyable. Their communication was top-notch, and they worked within our budget to provide quality, artistic options that truly captured the essence of our special day. The final photos are stunning, and we're thrilled with the value we received. We highly recommend Ethereal Moments Art to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photography experience.

Nick Levine Photography

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Barnardsville, NC

I’m an Asheville-based photographer and lover of the great outdoors, home cooked meals, hot summer days, and going on adventures. I’m weird (aren’t we all?), but I’m unapologetically myself, and I am obsessed with my job and this life I am so blessed to live. I've worked with some awesome couples, and maybe you're the next!

Awarded Best of Zola
Nick is a gem!! We are so thankful that he photographed our wedding. My partner and I had a lot of requests, and Nick accommodated them all while never making us feel difficult. He listened carefully to what was important to us - for my husband it was not stopping the party to take pictures and for me it was LOTS of candids of our loved ones. Somehow Nick made it happen!! We got gorgeous photos of the two of us just being ourselves with each other and amazing dance floor shots of our guests having the best time! With no posing!! The colors in the photos are fantastic -- even though Nick does AMAZING work outdoors he makes indoor photography feel just as special. Nick made a special effort to take a lot of photos of my grandparents and our parents specifically which we will treasure in years to come. Our friends said that the photos "look like how the day felt" which felt so right. We were amazed by how many micro moments between guests Nick captured!! Reliving the day via the photos is now my favorite past time. To top it all off, Nick was incredibly kind and calm throughout the day. Everyone in our families raved about how nice our photographer was. He worked with our coordinator for our timeline to run on schedule without ever making us feel rushed. We got to be fully present all day long. It was the exact energy you want by your side throughout your wedding. If we could change one thing it would have been having Nick for more time!!

We all connect to those moments that are honest. My job is to find the light and create the space that allows you to enjoy your Wedding day with presence. My clients seek me out and often praise me for spotting and capturing stolen glances and every little hidden moment then preserving it forever.

Awarded Best of Zola
He is absolutely kind, energetic, and professional throughout both of our shoots. ( we loved our engagement session so much we booked him right away for our wedding ! ) The photos and video came out beyond our wildest dreams. For two people who don't love being in front of the camera, I don't know how he does what he does. I never felt overly aware of the camera or like I was being posed. Yet somehow he pulled off the most amazing and epic photos and final video! Almost unbelievable. 10/10 recommend. The best around!

Wilder Weddings Collective

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Barnardsville, NC

Wilder Weddings Collective is a dedicated team of elopement and wedding photographers passionate about capturing wild love and real emotion. Based in Western North Carolina, but willing to travel anywhere, we’re leading a revolution in wedding photography, bringing the focus back on couples, their commitment, and the whole experience of the day.

Where to start… Carolyn and Jake made our wedding day(s) better than we could have imagined. They guided us through just about everything including, location scouting, vendor recommendations, and the wedding day itinerary. They helped us create the perfect day that we didn't even know was possible. After planning for 6 months, the day finally came and rain was in the forecast. Carolyn and Jake took this in stride and pivoted our hike to the day before our original date which turned out to be sunny and perfect. This meant we were lucky enough to have two wedding days, which was awesome! It also turned out so much better than our original plan. If we had to do it all over again we would have planned it as a two day elopement because it was more fun, less exhausting, and stress free (after we nailed down the new plans). Carolyn and Jake even hung out with us after their “time” was up for a couple celebratory glasses of wine. They are incredible people and by the end of the day it felt as though we had gained two friends. OH and did I mention Jake made us coffee on the mountain and Carolyn sewed my dress?!? Yeah, they are WAY more than “just photographers”. Best decision we ever made (other than marrying each other) was hiring Wilder Weddings Collective. The pictures were absolutely stunning!! PS - We highly recommend allowing Jake to set the hiking pace, he saved us on our hike!

Adrian Etheridge Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,900
  • Serves Barnardsville, NC

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember. My mom gave me an old film camera sometime around 5th grade thinking offhand that I might be interested in yet another art form and boy was she ever right. From then on, I've always had a camera in my hand, documenting anything and everything. Photography has been not only my chosen form of expression for over half my lifetime, but my way of learning about the world, of getting to know people, and even of getting to know myself.

Awarded Best of Zola
Adrian is amazing! I cannot recommend her enough, especially if you're a couple that is awkward in front of a camera! We hired her for our wedding in Asheville, and she came to us in Raleigh for our engagement session. She made us feel really comfortable and didn't try to make us do any "unnatural" poses; over the engagement session, she found what worked for us, and brought out more of that! She was also very patient with our dog who did not want to cooperate at all, and still managed to get some great action shots of him! The day of our wedding, it poured! She was such a trooper about quickly moving outside when the sun poked out, and back in when the skies opened up. And when everyone hit the dance floor, she got the best personality pics of our loved ones. She was so patient with us, and everything we needed as two individuals who originally did not feel comfortable in front of the camera!

We are a husband and wife team serving the entire US but we are based out of Asheville, NC and Jackson Hole, WY! We believe in enjoying the experience of your wedding day as much as enjoying your images afterwards so we're big about making sure our couples have fun!

Awarded Best of Zola
When we were on the search for photographers for our elopement, we were overwhelmed with all of the choices. We reached out to several, but Jenny & Joe’s enthusiasm and stunning and unique portfolio stuck out above the rest. I’m SO glad we chose them! They are a lot of fun, very professional, and easygoing. Our ceremony location got snowed out (High elevation = no view) but they were prepared and had a backup plan, and we couldn’t be happier with our wedding album. It was more beautiful than I could imagine, even if it was 9° outside and we were all frozen solid. If you don’t choose JCM Photography to be your photographers, you’re making a mistake.

I believe your photos should have a timeless feel, full of your real emotions. I’m here to guide you every step of the way for a stress free experience. All the way from timeline planning to guiding you behind the camera, I’m here for you. 🌿

Awarded Best of Zola
I don't even know where to start! Laren was the perfect photographer, and here are 10 reasons why: 1. She was super communicative. 2. She was always open to hearing my ideas and brainstorming together. 3. She woke up incredibly early to take our sunrise engagement photos to get the best shots. 4. She took my vision and made it happen. 5. She coached my husband and I how to model—posing isn't our strong suit. 6. I recommend doing engagement photos with her as well. It's a great way to build rapport and get little coaching in, while having a cohesive set of photos. 7. She's super professional, warm, friendly, and easy going. 8. She took a wide variety of shots. I really wanted those organic candids, and she made sure to take a good selection. 9. My wedding guests loved her! They kept talking about how nice and professional she was. 10. The photos themselves were perfect! We couldn't have asked for a better images. All of our friends constantly talk about how amazing our photos are. I could keep going! We loved having her as our photographer.

Juan and Emily

  • Photojournalistic style

  • Serves Barnardsville, NC

Soon after Juan and Emily got married in 2018 Juan began his photography career as a light technician in LA. Juan studied journalism for his undergrad, and this is when he was gifted his first camera and his interest in photography was sparked. Emily's childhood dream was to be a photographer, and after working for years as an ICU nurse she is able to do just that alongside Juan. We are energized by the creativity that photography brings, and the light and joy we experience from meeting couples.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot say enough good things about Juan Rodriguez Photography! Juan shot film photos alongside a digital photographer at our wedding. Juan's photos are absolutely beautiful - organic, artistic and distinct. They are some of my favorite photos from the day. The best thing about Juan though is his attitude. His positivity, calmness and proactiveness made a real difference without how I felt on my wedding day. Though our digital photographer had never met him before our wedding, she commented how much she enjoyed working with him. Many of our bridal party made similar comments. He was always looking for ways to help, whether holding bouquets or giving my veil movement outside the frame. Besides being a wonderful photographer, Juan is just the type of person you want with you on your wedding day. I can't recommend him enough.

Hi! We're Julie and Rad. We met in Vietnam in 2016, and have lived in eight countries together since then. During our time abroad we've had plenty of adventures, seen incredible wildlife, eaten a lot of wonderful food, and honed our photography skills. We also got married in 2020! Planning a wedding during a pandemic involved an unusual set of challenges. Although our guest count was a little smaller than we originally anticipated-- the day could not have been more perfect. This was made possible only because we hired and trusted the right people. We try to instill the same trust so you can enjoy your day!

Simply Amazing! We had our engagement shoot at the Biltmore estate and it was nothing short of magical. Julie was able to capture exactly what I wanted the pictures to look like. She is a joy to work with and helped us feel relaxed and at ease. I can’t stop looking at my pictures and everyone that lays eyes on them is OBSESSED! They take your pictures and capture who you are but also make it look like a beautiful piece of art. I simply cannot say enough good things!

Lacey Renae Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Barnardsville, NC

Lacey is a world-travelled photographer originally from the midwest. This is a woman and Vet owned business. Her strength is primarily about seeing- the composition, the light, the dynamics between the people she is photographing. Portraits have a lean toward that as well, with a push toward the bonds between people. By working to get clients to interact, the images made reflect the connection between individuals as well as the self.

Lacey was so easy to work with and we love the results. We did not have much time to pull together our tiny wedding (we eloped), and we were lucky to find her. She was creative, professional, and just fun to be around. Highly recommend her and her work.

The Jungle Branch

  • Starts at $5,000
  • Serves Barnardsville, NC

The Jungle Branch offers an authentic, refreshing approach to wedding photography and is paired best with folks who wish to remain present in the moments throughout one of the most important days in their lives. With an artistically stylized and candid approach, my goal is to not only tell your story in its truest form, but to encourage you to fully live your day, allowing yourself to experience the calamity of joy with your loved ones without photography feeling like a production.

Working with Mike was an absolute dream. My partner and I are not people who feel comfortable in front of a camera. Mike completely changed that - although we had never met in person before, Mike felt like an old friend. He had the utmost patience in dealing with our wild family members before we arrived and captured every moment completely perfectly. Mike was so intentional about every shot and was incredible about getting all of the nature-inspired, detail-oriented shots that I wanted. Every time I look back at my wedding album, I'm brought to joyful tears just seeing how perfectly captured every raw emotion was. At our reception, guests couldn't stop raving about how personable and easy to work with Mike was. We had a very "free-flowing" party and Mike was able to round-up everyone and get all of our needed family and friend shots - an impossible task! My partner and I just don't have enough good things to say about the entire experience, Mike as a person, and the beautiful pictures that we ended up with. I look back on our photos and know that I will forever have memories of the moody, "Pinterest-board-inspired" wedding of my dreams!

A word of advice, hire them! Hire them for both photo and video! I feel blessed to have stumbled across Jen and Brian’s company on my search for a videographer and photographer. Jen was wonderful to work with from the get go. She was willing to drive hours from her home for both my wedding and my engagement photos. She is so flexible and ready for whatever Mother Nature throws at her. Our pictures and video are just amazing! They were able to capture the moments in such a way that it’s like you’re reliving the day over again. Throughout the ceremony I had no idea they were even there, they were like ghosts but they captured every important moment. I will cherish these photos and video forever. I hope one day I have a reason to go back up and hire them again for some photos.

"Passionate" doesn't really begin to describe how I feel about being a photographer. It's more like, who I am as a person. Photographs are able to speak a million words in a moment when words may fail. After photographing 200+ couples of all shapes, sizes, & colors -- I can still say it is my favourite thing to do in the universe. People are my JAM! I love people & their wonderful uniqueness. When two people get together in a thing called "love"? Well, I just can't help but want to be a part of it! Capturing those obvious or subtle displays of affection between two people in true, heartfelt love is as necessary as oxygen in my lungs.

Beautiful work that captures both big and small moments; capturing expressions of overwhelming joy, love and tenderness. Works to understand what is important to each person, family or couple being photographed and brings out the best in everyone.

Natasha Dale Photography

5.0

  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $4,200
  • Serves Barnardsville, NC

We have a passion for telling your love story via imagery. Our style is classic, romantic and joyful. We are based in Asheville, North Carolina but travel to many wonderful locations. We specialize in working with joyful couples in love!

We could not recommend Natasha more. From the moment we found her, we knew we were in the right hands. She met with us via Zoom regularly leading up to the wedding. Anytime we reached out with a question, she was ready to set up a time to chat and make sure we felt confident and prepared. She had great recommendations, was knowledgable about the area, and sent incredibly helpful bride and groom guides (these even helped us to make some really important decisions that changed the way we planned our wedding day!). Natasha connected with our videographer in advance to make sure they would be on the same page and work well together, which they most definitely did! Her and her husband, Al, showed up early the day of the wedding and worked together seamlessly. In their company, I felt immediately comfortable to be myself, to make jokes, to go with the flow. Before reading the bride guide provided by Natasha, we were planning to have a first touch but not a first look. After reading Natasha’s thoughts and experience of first looks, we were convinced. Our first look was the perfect moment for us to connect, release our anxieties, and remember the real purpose of the day. We were able to have plenty of space between ourselves and the camera and truly felt like we were alone enjoying the moment. This was one of the major highlights of our day, and the photos show it. As the day pressed on, Natasha was the perfect photographer and director that we needed. I had asked that she feel comfortable to be as bossy as necessary to capture the perfect pictures. I had experiences before where I ended up hating my positioning, posture, or the distance between people in wedding photos. She handled this job with grace and the perfect amount of discipline. Everyone listened to her, and the fun, joking energy continued. During our ceremony, I was able to release any stiffness and be myself. We had the least stiff ceremony I’ve ever attended, and it was a true representation of who we are and the love we share. I believe this was due to our comfort level provided by the photography team of Natasha and Al, as well as the relationship she established from the start with our videography team. It didn’t feel like we were being watched by extra “staff”, they felt like they were meant to be there. And honestly, I could barely tell they were there half the time! During the ceremony, I had no idea they were getting the shots and angles they captured! While I awaited the photo album, I honestly thought we were going to be missing some of the angles I had dreamt of because I never saw them taking them. As soon as I saw the album I was SHOCKED to see that they had been there all along, capturing my husband's face as he cried for my entry, capturing the guest’s reactions, capturing it all.
