Lake Lucy Event Venue offers 140 acres of land with an 80 acre private lake encompassed on the property. There are many well maintained walking trails, plenty of open space and beautiful scenery. There is an option to bring the bridal party on a hay wagon, which makes for some pretty cool pictures. Both the bridal party and the grooms party can opt to get ready in a beautiful log home; usually the bridal party gets ready in the fully finished walkout basement, and the grooms party on main floor. We are located within 5 miles of Wixom, which offers many hotel options. There is currently no structures in the wedding venue area, but have started construction on a pavilion for the 2024 season. The barn is a Nucor Steel barn that has been transformed into a Rustic Barn inside with floor to ceiling timber wood siding, horse stalls transformed into a bar, kitchen and modern restrooms, an upper level previous hay mound and storage rooms transformed into a bride and grooms suites. The outside 40 acre farm formerly were horse pastures now transformed into green luscious grass with choices of Arbors for your ceremonies, beautiful ponds, lots of room for parking, with a farm style like ranch gardens and backdrops with woodsy and scenic views for fantastic wedding photos. This is a very relaxing place to just take your shoes off, dance and enjoy the barn that is more than just a barn.

Welcome to Alber Orchard & Freedom Winery. Only 30 minutes west of Ann Arbor or an hour from Detroit, our beautiful orchard provides a perfect country get-away in the rolling hills of Manchester, Michigan. This beautiful land was deeded in 1832 by President Andrew Jackson, and acquired by John Alber in 1881 to operate as an orchard and cider mill. Today's owners, Mike and Therese Bossory, are preserving the centennial orchard, gazebo, barns, and cider press to assure your family or special group with a clean, safe, relaxing time on the farm.
