About this venue
Our goal is to provide an elegant but rustic space where you can create your dream wedding while having time to make memories with family and friends. We cater to personal, intimate gatherings with a focus on slowing down and enjoying your event. We also aim to provide a space where everyone feels welcome, at a price point that is attainable for the average couple. Located in Harrison, Michigan, August Hill is situated in one of Clare Counties oldest farming communities.

The Barn at August Hill is the perfect mix of rustic elegance.
The barn is 1600 sq/ft with an additional 24'x40' deck on the south side. String lights illuminate both the barn and the deck, with additional lighting from chandeliers and pendant lighting.

Full weekend wedding package

Off-peak pricing $4,500
Our full weekend wedding package includes the entire property from Friday-Sunday including the guesthouse which sleeps 8-10. The package also includes 15- 60”round tables, 4(8ft )rectangle and 1 (6ft )rectangle table. We provide 130 wooden folding chairs, White linens, whiskey barrels and a variety of other decorations, and two certified bartenders that work the event. Our package runs $5000 plus a $500 refundable security deposit.
Friday wedding package
100-155 guests
Peak pricing $3,500
Our Friday package includes the entire property from Friday morning at 8am-midnight. This includes use of the guesthouse for dress, hair, and makeup. The package also includes 15- 60”round tables, 4(8ft )rectangle and 1 (6ft )rectangle table. We provide 130 wooden folding chairs, whiskey barrels and a variety of other decorations. Two certified bartenders work the event. This package runs $2500 plus a $500 refundable security deposit.
Saturday Wedding Package

Our Saturday package includes the entire property from Saturday morning at 8am-midnight. This includes use of the guesthouse for dress, hair, and makeup. Sunday Service

Off-peak pricing $800
Our Sunday Service package includes use of the property from noon-7pm for simple gatherings and small wedding ceremonies. This package is $800 with a $250 refundable security deposit.

Perfect Place!
We had our wedding at August Hill Venue and were thrilled with the experience. The owners were always quick to respond and incredibly helpful in the planning process. The rustic barn, sprawling land, and beautiful house exceeded our expectations and provided a magical backdrop for our special day. The staff was attentive throughout, and the bartenders they provided were fantastic. The venue owners and their team are simply great people who run an amazing venue that contributed so much to our wedding.

I am the owner and lead photographer of Taylor M Zinn Photography, having had the pleasure of working with August Hill on multiple occasions. The ease of having spaces for getting ready, wedding ceremony, reception, AirBnB house to stay at the end of the night AND multiple areas perfect for photos is one of my very favorite parts of this beautiful venue. Working with them as a vendor is always so simple as they are quick to respond, so kind, and helpful in any way I have needed. I seriously can't recommend them enough when looking for a venue to hold your wedding. I'm always looking forward to my next event there!!
Beautiful Wedding Venue
I recommend August Hill because for me it was the absolute best and more affordable place to hold your wedding. From the AirbNb that has the space and necessities for the wedding party to get ready, to the Barn Venue that you can decorate to your own personal liking. Lastly they have a outdoor bar, and if you serve alcohol, they provide you with bartenders so you dont have to worry about the guest serving themselves. August Hill is the perfect place if you're looking for a outdoorsy, country feeling wedding. I promise you wont be disappointed as the owners try to accommodate what they can for your special day.
