One of the things I value the most is that when I struggle to express an idea, Lana helps me put it into words. She listens, she cares, and she works with love. When we went to see the venue, she and her husband drove two hours each way-with their baby. And not only that, but they also spent another two hours in the meeting, carefully helping me refine my ideas and bringing my vision to life, making sure every detail is thoughtfully considered. She and her husband make an amazing team, complementing each other perfectly in their work. And as I said, I haven’t even walked down the aisle yet, but I already know I am in the best hands. I trust them, and I know everything will turn out beautifully. I wanted to leave this review as a testament to everything they’ve done before the big day. They have made what could have been a stressful process so much easier, lifting so much weight off my shoulders and allowing me to truly enjoy this journey. “Kari and Pat Frey Designs curated, organized and designed my wedding last autumn at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County. It was “enchanted forest amongst the dinosaurs” themed and had little nods to timeless films like Harry Potter, Edward Scissorhands, Jurassic Park, etc. Imagine a client telling you they want all that along with a tight budget and having to deal with very particular museum restrictions! Like decisions of what color napkins look good on the sweetheart table to how they coordinate with the linens on the cocktail tables, to making sure all the build staff are on the same page behind the scenes, to paperwork and communicating with all the dozens of vendors. Not only was the design and organizing aspect completely handled and managed by the team, Kari was my personal therapist through months of planning and dealing with typical wedding pressures. Peonies, delphinium, sweetpeas, dahlias, ranunculus, hellebore, and so many more created the perfect and elegant rainbow for this celebration of love. What I saw on my wedding day was beyond my expectation and I couldn’t wait to get into the reception room to marvel at the center pieces closer. They took my vision for a white floral centerpiece with citrus accents and made it look like a timeless painting illuminated by candles, a dreamy and whimsical tablescape of expertly coordinated votives, vases, and soft blooms.
