Sound Originals did a fantastic job photographing our wedding! Ari and Ali were very professional and they understood how to set up good shots. I'm amazed by how good the lighting was in most of the photos, even in some rooms at the church that weren't as well lit. There are a few photos I wish had been full body rather than cut off at the ankles, oh well. At the end of the night when our coverage had ended before the wedding did, they waited till the end of a song before saying goodbye instead of interrupting, which we greatly appreciated.

I've had a camera in my hand since I was a kid. My mom was a wedding photographer also. I spend my days taking photos because it inspires me and fills me with joy. To me, there is nothing better than capturing a beautiful moment. I have photographed weddings all over the US TX, NY and the Hudson Valley, the East Coast, as well as in Europe, the Caribbean, & Hawaii. A few more things about me… I love the ocean, traveling, exploring, hiking, dancing, the change of seasons, the outdoors, sunrises, sunsets, walking without a destination, that few minutes of magical golden light before the sun sets, life… and telling stories with photographs.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had used Kim for our engagement photos and some branding photos prior to our wedding, so she was an obvious choice for our wedding. Not only were Kim’s photos incredible, but her energy at the wedding was perfect. She always knew the right thing to say to get a group to have the perfect expressions, or to get my hub and I to get just the right look at each other, and she was always in the right spot to get the best candid shots. We swooned over the photos and always find a new fave when we go back to look at them. I cannot recommend Kimberly enough, and will be booking her again for the vow renewal!!

Double Knot Pictures | Photo + Video

5.0

Austin, TX
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,970

Our small team of award-winning photographers and videographers celebrate the candid, authentic beauty of your day. Because when you look back on your album you should remember the fun, easy, imperfect, personal moments that make you, you -- not how long you had to pose.

We couldn’t recommend Double Knot more! Finding a wedding photographer/videographer is definitely a daunting and overwhelming task, as you want your special day to be captured perfectly. Double Knot was able to just that - the content was everything we were hoping for and more! Amy, our photographer, and the team on our day were SO kind, made sure everyone felt at ease and had such great attention to detail. To top it off, all the pictures and videos were delivered way quicker than we expected. Couldn’t be happier!

Morgan Elise Photography

Austin, TX
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

My name is Morgan Elise, and I have had a camera in my hand since I was around nine years old. I specialize as a storyteller & documentarian photographer. Nothing brings me more joy than capturing moments you don’t necessarily see… but I do. I am constantly looking for those quiet moments, genuine smiles, laughs, hugs, kisses, etc. I want to tell YOUR story as authentically as I can. My work has heavily been influenced by my intuition and empathic gifts, history, vogue, literature- mostly Jane Austen, and poetry. Before every session, I create a story of poses for each client, carefully curated for each person’s personal story.

Awarded Best of Zola
Morgan hands down made my special day go flawlessly!! She is professional but also makes you feel at ease while navigating such an important day. My photos surpassed my expectations. Being a person that’s never had professional photos taken, she walked us through everything and we had fun doing it. I can’t say enough good things about my entire experience with Morgan!!!!

Hi I'm Allie! I am a photographer and videographer based in Austin, TX. I have 17+ years experience in the wedding industry. Growing up, my Dad did wedding photography (on film!) and did that all throughout my childhood. Eventually, I got to tag along with him and he realized I had a natural eye for a good shot. Whenever I do weddings now, it always makes me nostalgic for the days I got to spend learning from him. Years later, he gifted me my first camera. Now, I have experience with weddings, short films, portraits, and more. If my work makes a connection with you, then I know I did my job.

Allie was amazing all day at our wedding! She had great energy and smiles and moved all around the venue to capture some fantastic shots without interfering in any of the action. She even went above and beyond to provide us with some beautifully edited extra family photos which we are so grateful to have. Thanks again, Allie!!

Hey, thanks SO much for being here! I am honored you are checking out my page. I became a full time wedding photographer after realizing my connection to capturing love stories. I value connection, transparency, and having a fun time with my couples!

My experience with Tia was absolutely phenomenal and I will be hiring her again for all of my photography needs! She is extremely personable which truly helped with my nerves as we carried out the session. My session was only supposed to be an hour long, but she said the sunset was “too perfect” to end the session so soon. So, she stayed 20 minutes past our agreed time to take golden hour photos. She didn’t have to, but she chose to. Tia is both very kind and generous!

Lydia Teague Photography

5.0

Austin, TX
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500

NICU RN turned Wedding & Portrait Photographer in 2012. Married to my High School Sweetheart for 20+ years. Mom to 3 kids, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. Originally from DFW, I spent 7-8 years in Northern Virginia, just outside of DC. I moved to the Austin Area in 2021 to be a part of The Wedding Capital of Texas in Dripping Springs.

Lydia was wonderful. She communicated clearly and regularly. She also prepped my husband and me for the big day with our engagement session. On the day, she helped with keeping people on schedule, which was no small feat, considering the number of small children running around. She captured wonderful in-the-moment photos all throughout the day and made sure to devote attention to special photos, such as the ones with my mom or my first look with my now husband. We have so many photos from which to choose, and I have no idea how we're going to do so! Highly recommend Lydia for her professionalism, friendliness, and photography skills.

Sam Hugh Photography

5.0

Austin, TX
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,500

I’m a hopeless romantic that's in an international long-distance marriage for almost ten years. I really enjoy documenting weddings. It’s one giant Rubik's Cube of composing interesting images, telling family history, figuring out the optimal light, and just getting to know people. My passion is to keep pushing my art and create a timeless product you will still cherish 50 years from now. I want to create honest photos that capture the realness of your relationships. I want to do more than tell a story, I want to capture the feelings and emotions of the day. I want to capture your quirkiness, your happiness, and the quiet moments in between.

Sam took the time to get to know me and my fiancé and totally got our vibe. It was clear that he had studied my wedding photography Pinterest board, had seen and understood my vision for wedding photos that were more elevated and editorial than some of the more typical wedding photographs. We have gotten non-stop compliments on our wedding photos but more importantly, my fiancé and I LOVE them. They are the perfect representation of us. And now for businessy things: Sam was punctual, always on time (usually early!) for everything from initial calls to the actual day of. He was SO polite and patient when our relatives were being annoying and asking him to take a photo on their iPhones. (eye roll, sorry Sam!!!) He was great a corralling the crowd for group portraits and he was not intrusive at all during the ceremony. Honestly, I kind of forget he was even there. It's clear that he takes pride in his work and we felt really lucky to get to have him on our wedding. TLDR: Sam slayed this and I would recommend him to everyone

Color and Beam

For those playfully and deeply in love! Color and Beam provides artful film and digital hybrid wedding and elopement photography based in Southern California and Texas, available for travel. I’m a storyteller, but the picture book kind. I usually skip the words and pore over the pictures. I geek out over colors, light, and movement, so it makes a lot of sense that photography is where I’ve landed.

A husband & wife team who travel around the Texas hill country photographing all things love and exciting! We have three rescue cats & a parrot who truly do act like kids. (But we sure do love ‘em!) We enjoy watching movies, getting take out, and going goo-goo over the king of acting, Mr. Nick Cage! Yes, we’re those kinds of people. ;)

From our first meeting, the team at Photography By Estefana was amazing, personable, and incredibly responsive. Their communication throughout the entire process was top-notch, and they made us feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way. Wedding photography is so much more than snapping a few frames. It's about being a part of the experience, making connections, and meeting new people. John is the best! Our wedding pictures came out better than I could have imagined. He is incredibly responsive, open to your ideas and suggestions, and goes above and beyond. Im Chris, a photographer living in Austin Texas. I think connection between people, whether they be strangers, best friends, or loved ones, is what this is all about. I think every moment can be captured in a beautiful way.

Awarded Best of Zola
Chris is easy-going and relaxing to work with right from the jump. His creative eye always found a way to incorporate our surroundings yet he always was able to capture a natural expression. We had a few different locations for our engagement shoot and in each location, he was able to find something unique, experimented with different framing, but was always able to keep us at ease in front of a camera. Overall he made the day really special and we left with a memorable set of images that we see every day on our walls! It was great working with him and I'll jump at any chance to do it again. Highly recommend!

Betsy Y. Photo

5.0

Austin, TX
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,333

My interest in photography sparked when I was young as I watched my dad photograph everything around him. I asked for my first camera when I was 8 years old, and from the first moment it was in my hands, I couldn't put it down. I photographed EVERYTHING from bugs to people to Beanie Babies, filling shoeboxes with negatives and little 3x5 prints. After coloring "backdrops" on notebook paper for each beanie babie and having a full-on photo shoot, I knew photography would be a part of my life forever. :P I photographed my first wedding in November, 2008: over 200 weddings, 7 countries, and 20 states later, and I am still loving every second.

Betsy shot our wedding as well as multiple family sessions for us and we can’t sing her praises any higher! I hate having my photo taken but she makes me (and everyone else) feel incredibly comfortable. She keeps things light and fun while still being a total professional! Our walls are covered with her photos and they bring us such joy.

Marisa Vasquez Photography

5.0

Austin, TX
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,400

I’m Marisa. A cheeseburger lovin' native Texan. A little lady who will capture wonderful moments for you (on my tip toes 90% of the time) and will smile at you a lot in hopes that it will make you smile too. :)

Marisa was the absolute best person we worked with for our wedding. She is professional, communicative, kind, friendly, organized, and prompt. From our initial message reaching out to her to our final pictures post-wedding and all of the in-between with engagement and bridal photos, she is without a doubt our favorite wedding vendor. She’s fun to work with during and outside of photos. During, she has a very calm demeanor of a true professional who’s seen it all and is unfazed by the chaos that is wrangling family for photos. She also made our engagement and bridal photo shoot super fun. Outside, she communicates quickly and kindly and was well organized. She was so organized that if she had told us she did wedding coordination, we would have paid her on the spot. I cannot say enough good things about her and I’m confident we’ve found our go-to photographer for as long as she’ll have us.
