We were very happy with Cabo Bob's catering for our wedding in Austin. Their communication via email was timely and helpful, especially when we needed to adjust our order about two weeks before the big day. They were very accommodating. The food itself was delicious and everyone loved it. As an added bonus, Cabo Bob's packed up to-go boxes for us to enjoy later that night.. We'd highly recommend Cabo Bob's catering services - great food and service at reasonable prices.

RedBook Events

5.0

Austin, TX
  • Starts at $5,000

Chef Adriana had carried two things with her since she was a child: a passion for food, and a red notebook. Through mock restaurants in her family home cooking meals for her sisters and friends before prom to culinary school, pastry classes, and working on the line at busy restaurants, her Red Book stayed full of ideas. And when she filled one, another Red Book took its place.

Hiring RedBook events was one of our best decisions for our wedding. Not only did we receive prompt communication during their office hours (Wednesday to Saturday), but we were able to schedule for a smaller scale than many caterers are willing to do (50 people initial estimate). Follow up was excellent for confirming guest number, service timeline, allergy adjustments, and vendor meal needs. For our reception size (64 guests), we were able to get a reasonable price per person (31 per adult, 8.50 per kid) on a family style set-up. We chose marinaded chicken and stuffed poblano as entrees. All guests were satisfied with these food options and we were able to accommodate multiple allergies (special order for affected items) and flavor preferences. In addition, we were able to plan our linen/plate layout flexibly with Callie at the Premiere Events show room to fully customize the look with sample pieces. Planning for alcoholic beverage service was also satisfactory. Wine types for flavor pairings were recommended. While we did not like the specific brands recommended, my in-laws were able to purchase independently and make brand adjustments ahead of time. It was quite helpful to have an estimate of total needs and recommendations for general matching types of white and red (ie sauvignon blanc and pinot noir) was helpful.

Wild Whisk

4.3

  • Starts at $750
  • Serves Austin, TX

We are a private family boutique business working alongside our 4 children to teach them work ethic and business principles. My husband is an attorney and the “meat master” of the operation and I am a former pro makeup artist who now bosses people around about their appetizers and their aesthetic. We attended so many events where the food just sucked…..we knew we could do better and here we are, killing it in catering!!

Our wedding was made even more memorable thanks to the exquisite catering provided by Wild Whisk. From the outset, their team demonstrated professionalism and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of our wedding meal was nothing short of perfect. One of the highlights of their service was the Chicken Picatta. It was a hit among our guests, who raved about the perfectly cooked chicken, the balance of flavors in the sauce, and how it paired beautifully with the green beans and mash potatoes. The dish was not only delicious but also presented with elegance, adding a touch of class to our wedding dinner. But the culinary delights began even before the main course. Wild Whisk's appetizers were a topic of conversation throughout the evening. Each appetizer was a burst of flavor, beautifully presented, and served with the perfect accompaniment. My personal favorite was the couscous! I ate probably 3 of them in between socializing with our guests. What set Wild Whisk apart was their commitment to quality and flavor. It was evident that they used high-quality, fresh ingredients, and their culinary skills shone through in every dish they served. The service staff was also impeccable, providing attentive and friendly service that made our guests feel well taken care of throughout the evening. Choosing Wild Whisk as our caterer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Their dedication to creating a memorable dining experience for us and our guests was apparent in every detail. We received numerous compliments on the food, and many guests asked for their contact information for their own events. We cannot thank Wild Whisk enough for their part in making our wedding day so special. Their exceptional food, outstanding service, and the overall dining experience they provided were beyond our expectations. We highly recommend Wild Whisk to anyone looking for catering services that truly stand out.
