Their clear and professional approach put us at ease throughout the planning process. On the day of, they were extremely accommodating, helping with setup and teardown as well as providing transportation to photo locations. The price for what you get is also unbelievable. We visited 3 other venues around the Clarksburg area and their pricing was a joke in comparison to Pete Dye. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Carriage House was built in 1908 as part of the Watson family estate called High Gate. It was designed by Horace Trumbauer, architect of The Biltmore Estate. Your wedding will have the elegance of a by-gone era. The elements of character show through with a terra cotta roof and verdigris copper accents that are trademarks of the Tudor Revival Style architecture. The event can be held inside the Carriage House with up to 135 guests or under the high-peaked tent in the garden that can accommodate up to 260 guests.
