We were delighted when Doug told us that his partner, Andrew, was moving back to the area and would be working with him at our wedding. Doug talked with us several times throughout our planning process to help us think through the reception - specifically the flow and the feeling of each moment. At our final detail meeting, Doug and Andrew helped us finalize and ramp up some ideas we had been working on (rating speeches using giant numbers that the bridal party held up, us-themed bar trivia during dinner, kiss cam instead of traditional glass-clinking kisses) and also gave us options to add on his Freedom Sticks (party lighting to help make the room/dance floor fun) and several Polaroid cameras and a book to store the pictures in. We took advantage of both and were so happy we did! On the day of the event, Doug took the role of MC and walking around the room to get pictures of people/get everyone involved and Andrew took on the role of primary DJ. Together, they were such a fun team that really brought the party to life! We had SO MANY compliments on how fun they were and I have recommended them to all of my friends with upcoming weddings!! They perfectly matched our vibe to the music and worked hard to make sure that everyone had a great time. She played before (while our guests and bridal party were getting seated/lining up), during (when my dad and I walked down), and after (when our guests exited) the ceremony and the music was just beautiful and peaceful. “Overall music selection and sound was great, maybe a little too loud a some points but that may also be due to speaker placement. There was an issue with the DJ going to the wrong site initially. Our venue had 3 ceremony/reception sites, and he set up across the street at one of the other sites. This caused a delay in set up, but our coordinator and site manger were able to help him. I don’t think he verified with anyone when he arrived that he was at the correct wedding before setting up. Ceremony music sound was great. OPOV Band is a well established band in business since 2014. We are currently an 10 piece band and 1 sound engineer. Our instruments are Drums, Bass, Keys, Guitar, Trumpet, Trombone, and Saxophone. We currently have 1 male vocalist and 2 female vocals. We do have the ability to add instruments and vocals upon client request. All of our musicians are experienced, professional, and seasoned. We enjoy playing good music covering various genres such as Motown, R&B, Soul, Pop, Classic Rock, and Rock 'n' Roll.
