My fiancé and I were looking for a rustic wedding venue, not a ballroom, preferably a venue with space to be outside (weather permitting). We visited a few options in the Philly area and fell in love with the John James Audubon Center! The space offers SO many options for an outdoor or indoor ceremony. They host receptions in the pavilion which is open with huge windows and firepits outside! The site is beautiful, and everyone we’ve worked with has been immensely helpful! After officially booking for our October 2024 wedding, we planned to visit with our parents. What was originally intended to be a quick stroll around the grounds turned into an impromptu tour with the venue manage. She answered all of our parents' questions and even brought out photo books of previous weddings for us to flip through together. With the wedding right around the corner now, we could not be more thrilled with our decision and can't wait to be there next month to celebrate our big day!

The Ashford Estate was the perfect venue for our wedding! From the beginning, their communication was incredibly responsive and attentive. They ran a full-service operation and helped coordinate our special day perfectly - their service was truly unmatched. The space was absolutely stunning, and the food was incredible. The place felt grand, but they made it feel like our home for our celebration. We knew how great the staff was from working with them directly, but we also received so many compliments from our guests on how kind, organized, and attentive they were. They were flexible, professional, and so accommodating throughout the entire process. They made our day so special, and we couldn't recommend The Ashford Estate enough. Dreams really do come true at the Tides!The best thing you can do is book your wedding there. From the day we booked and leading up to our big day Michael was very forthcoming and helpful. He was very responsive, followed up on all my questions and made sure we felt supported. The venue itself looks out of a fairytale. They are in a rural location so the greenery as you drive up is beautiful. The inside looks akin to a palace with many rooms and a beautiful lobby.  You don't even have to decorate too much because the place itself is so elegant and classy. The garden is soooo breathtaking. They have 2 ceremony spaces outside, beautiful flowers and greenery. Plus it's so big! You get a lot of bang for your buck. I didn't hire a day of coordinator and I basically planned everything myself with the bridal party, but the Maitre D and venue staff were very instrumental in making sure our event ran smoothly. I was super nervous thinking about the day of. I planned everything out but couldn't leave my seat because hello, I'm the bride lol. I was getting ready all morning.  But thanks to our Maitre D Alberto, the event flower perfectly. He kept us on time. Helped get the bridal party together. He literally went above and beyond. It's so incredible just thinking back to it. I know some venues are hands off. But the staff was just so dedicated to making our every request happen if possible. Thanks to Alberto, our wedding day went by beautifully without any hitch or drama. It's unbelievable because I heard there is always some kind of issue the day of. We paid for a 6am opening so me and my bridesmaids could get ready at the venue. Michael set up a wonderful breakfast in the bridal suite it was like being home! We were so comfortable and we're ready on time for our 11am start. Truly wonderful. We had the small bridal suite so to our small party but it was super nice and a great set up for getting ready! The food and the drinks were to die for. First of all, the cocktail hour was loaded with so much food! Not only do they include a variety of delicious hor'devours. You get to choose from from different entrees and stations. The guest are still raving about it a month later! Everything was excellent. From the presentation to the quality of the meals, it was the best wedding food I've ever had. When the reception came all the guests were too stuffed for their reception entrees! My cake came from David's Custom Cakes, their partner. I got the dulce de leche filling and let me tell you it was so rich! I'm definitely coming back the next time I need a cake! Honestly I am a happy bride. I have no regrets, in fact it was even better than I imagined! Don't hesitate to book them, you will not regret it!

We fell in love with this venue the moment we drove up the road. My husband and I grew up in NJ, live in Brooklyn, and were looking for a venue that felt like a nature retreat while still being accessible for our friends and family. Milford is a great town just down the road and the hotels are so close too. Linnea and Alec were so communicative and helpful with the endless lists of questions we sent them. We cannot thank them enough for setting the stage for the weekend - and I'm just so impressed with how seamless and easy it felt to use their venue. We were struck just by the beauty of the whole property. It's absolutely marvelous! We were surrounded by charming little bunnies and butterflies the whole weekend. We took advantage of the place for the whole weekend - a Friday night pizza truck party, multiple pool and hot tub hangouts, and a Sunday bagel brunch in the barn. Everybody was raving about the barn, farmhouse, and cottage. The sunset during the reception created a great atmosphere for our guests to congregate and enjoy the lawn. We felt right at home and it made our wedding so incredibly special.

Appleford was the perfect venue and our day was in a word - surreal. The grounds were breathtaking (as usual), the house impeccable, and our guests were delighted to stroll around the gardens, play games, dance, explore the house, and eat eat EAT!!! Lisa has been immensely helpful since our first meeting and is the fastest email responder- which this bride appreciated! Mary was very kind, enthusiastic and helpful. We’re lucky to live not very far from Appleford and will absolutely be back to relive the magic of our day. Thank you!!

We fell in LOVE with Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm from the moment we drove in! It was one of the first venues we saw and we knew we wouldn’t have to look any further. It’s an absolutely beautiful farm filled with sunflowers and wildflowers. We absolutely loved getting ready in the wonderful farm house estate right on the venue. Leading up to the wedding, Avery and the Johnson Locust Hall Farm family had great communication and were very accommodating. The day of the wedding, we literally had to worry about NOTHING. They took care of everything and they had everything planned out to a T. The cocktail hour was spectacular in the stone barn and the reception was amazing in the breezeway barn. We are SO over the moon to have gotten married here. We are so happy that we can also visit again during the fall and spring during their events & farm activities which makes it so special that we could see this gorgeous venue again. HIGHLY recommend.

Megan, the director, is an absolutely dream to work with. quick responses, explains everything clearly, a sweetheart. Hotel is super clean, the food is amazing and the staff were lovely. The Maitre De went missing a lot throughout the day, to the point where my uncle had to find her whenever i needed. They set up & cleaned everything up for us which was lovely. the hotel bar stayed open late (sunday wedding) but you couldn’t make it private. so you had people at the bar trying to add to an open tab. you get a room block, the director of rooms Rebecca is very easy to work with as well. the outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous!!! This is a tough one to write. I’m still emotional about it. Terrain has always been a favorite place of mine, but truly, terrain EXCEEDED any expectation I had. The care, attention, organization, execution, kindness, was more than I ever could’ve hoped for. Our wedding was… perfect. We had a thunderstorm roll in right before our ceremony and the team never faltered. It was truly magical from beginning to end, and that was thanks to Tiffany and the terrain staff. If you’re looking for a one of a kind, gorgeous venue, with the most supportive staff, perfectly curated planning process, and true human kindness along the way- look NO further than terrain. 200/10 experience. The Merion Tribute House was such a wonderful venue for our wedding reception. From when we scheduled our initial viewing to our final drop off for last minute decor, the staff at Merion Tribute House communicated well and were a joy to work with. It was an amazing backdrop for our bridal party photos and the dining room was the perfect size for our 100 person reception. The dance floor was the perfect size and we made great use of it. The meaning behind the Tribute House is very close to our hearts and it is a beautiful venue! We highly recommend the Merion Tribute House!
