Sweetbakes was founded from humble beginnings: a mother taking time from her career in nursing to provide her children with unique birthday cakes. With growth in creativity and skill, and a supportive family dedicated to the success of the newfound business, Sweetbakes Cafe was born.

Sugar Crystles is a wedding confectionery company in New Milford, CT. This budding bakery is owned and run by me, Crystle, and I am industry professional with years of cake-making in my repertoire. Using my skills, I do my best to craft stunning wedding cakes and delectable desserts that will have you and your guests wanting more. I create a variety of desserts and cakes for any special occasion with various techniques. From icing-covered sugar cookies to a variety of desserts for a buffet, I do it all. I also specialize in gluten and dairy free. I will cater to any flavor or design of your choice. Cake tastings are also available

It began in 1994 with a dream. Ira Gutner packed his bags, left a successful career in New York City’s Garment District and moved upstate to open Samuel’s of Rhinebeck, a boutique candy and coffee shop in the heart of bucolic Dutchess County. Ira named his shop after his late Uncle Sam who introduced him as a boy to penny candy. I began working for Ira as a 15-year-old after school and diligently worked my way up to store manager. Ira’s sudden passing in April 2014 left all of us in the community stunned and heartbroken.

Hello! My name is Shaelyn Oathout. I am the self taught one woman show behind Shae’s Cakes, an in-home bakery based in Poland, NY. I’m so glad you’re here! Shae’s Cakes started early in 2020 as a hobby, but I quickly realized just how passionate I am about starting from scratch, and bringing people’s sweet dreams to life! Sugar Monster is an award winning, concierge cake studio owned by Pastry Chef Ashley Holt. Ashley has won prestigious honors in her field and is currently working as the Senior Food Stylist at the TODAY Show. She has been in the cake industry for 10 years and puts incredible attention to detail in each of her designs. Her availability is limited and she is very selective with the orders she currently takes.
