“We fell in love with this venue the moment we drove up the road. My husband and I grew up in NJ, live in Brooklyn, and were looking for a venue that felt like a nature retreat while still being accessible for our friends and family. Milford is a great town just down the road and the hotels are so close too. Linnea and Alec were so communicative and helpful with the endless lists of questions we sent them. We cannot thank them enough for setting the stage for the weekend - and I'm just so impressed with how seamless and easy it felt to use their venue. We were struck just by the beauty of the whole property. It's absolutely marvelous! We were surrounded by charming little bunnies and butterflies the whole weekend. We took advantage of the place for the whole weekend - a Friday night pizza truck party, multiple pool and hot tub hangouts, and a Sunday bagel brunch in the barn. Everybody was raving about the barn, farmhouse, and cottage. The sunset during the reception created a great atmosphere for our guests to congregate and enjoy the lawn. We felt right at home and it made our wedding so incredibly special.”

“This was our first time at Crossed Keys Estate, and from the moment we did our research, we knew we were in for something special. The estate’s 30 acres of history, with stunning gardens, towering 200-year-old trees, and a charming farmhouse, provide the perfect mix of modern and rustic elegance. One of our favorite aspects? The venue hosts just one wedding a day, so all the attention and resources are devoted to the couple—a huge plus for creating a seamless experience. From the beginning, Erika and Jeremy were so laid-back and excited to enjoy their day. The preparation spaces were perfect—the girls had a beautiful rustic farmhouse, while the guys had a spacious house just down the gravel road, complete with a golf green for a little fun before the festivities. We love incorporating multiple, and Crossed Keys Estate offered the perfect backdrop for each one. From the emotional bridesmaids' reveal to the heartwarming first look between Erika and her dad (we could feel the intensity of the moment from the sidelines), and finally, the groom's first look on the picturesque grounds—it was magical. The estate’s swing under the giant tree and the intimate reflection pond were standout spots for capturing stunning couple photos, tucked away from the crowd. The reception space was equally amazing. The modern hall, with floor-to-ceiling windows, allowed gorgeous natural light to flood the room, making for a perfect backdrop for the celebration and the sweetheart table. Working with Katrina, the Senior Venue Coordinator, was a breeze. Every request the couple had was thoroughly listened to, and the venue made sure the day flowed effortlessly for everyone involved. Everything was timed perfectly, the florals (created by the venue!) were stunning, and the food was exquisite. Every detail was executed flawlessly, ensuring the couple and their guests could enjoy the day without a single hiccup. Now that we’ve experienced Crossed Keys Estate firsthand, we can’t wait to return! Our creativity was sparked by the newness of the venue, but we’re also excited to bring that knowledge back for future weddings. “Our experience so far with Waterloo Village and their staff has been amazing. From the moment we walked onto the property at Waterloo, we knew it was going to be our wedding venue! Between the beautiful farm, the adorable animals (love the alpacas), the gorgeous canal and historic homes, and the venue itself, we made our venue decision very quick! We got to see all of the ceremony spots which were all beautiful in their own unique way, but since our wedding is in summer we fell in love with their Secret Garden location. It is tucked away in the trees and just gives very magical vibes. So we are super excited! Once we picked Waterloo as our venue, it only got better from there. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. We brought our families to the open house and both sets of parents could not believe how incredible the food was! JAM catering does an amazing job of make fresh food that is sustainable and mostly grown by them (AMAZING)! At our tasting, it was incredible how organized and friendly all of the staff were. “We knew that the North Shore House would be our wedding venue from the moment we walked in for the first time. We fell in love right away with how beautiful it is, both inside and especially outside by the lake. We were already convinced by that alone, then we met Eric, Kelly, Emma, and the rest of the staff who were so kind, professional, accommodating, and wonderful to work with that we were even more certain. We then went for a food tasting and were blown away. The food is amazing. (Don’t just book a wedding there for the food, go to the tavern and have dinner there. You’ll be glad you did.) Every single aspect of the planning from day one was made so easy by the staff. They made us feel special, like we were their most important clients ever. The people there are just absolutely the best, that can’t be emphasized enough. Then there’s the venue itself. The grounds outside by the lake where our ceremony and cocktail hour were are absolutely gorgeous. It’s all very well kept and you won’t find a more beautiful spot to get married. Inside where we had the reception has all been refinished and is just stunning. We loved the atmosphere and the vibe of the whole place. It’s not glitz and glamour, it’s classy and elegant and perfect. There are also a dozen or so rooms on the second and third floors, which we loved because we were able to stay the night with our family and friends after the wedding. The rooms are all refinished recently too and are equally beautiful. Let’s talk food. We did all night hors d'oeuvres rather than a traditional dinner, and the food was amazing. There was passed food as well as stations, and never a shortage. Everyone there said the food was great, zero complaints. There was so much, I couldn’t possibly list everything we had so I won’t even try. But it was SO. GOOD. If you’re thinking that maybe this is your kind of place for your wedding, don’t even think twice about it. There is no maybe. It’s definitely the place. We can’t thank the staff enough for everything they all did to make our wedding perfect. We love that we can even go back, eat at the tavern, and book a room for an anniversary perhaps. We couldn’t be happier that we chose The North Shore house!”
