Angie was helping her girlfriend ask Dan to a turnabout dance. Yep, you read that right. At the dance, Angie realized she really liked Dan and had picked the wrong date! Dan and Angie stayed in touch off and on, through end of high school and into college. Years later, Angie texted Dan to hang out. After hanging out for a few months, Angie finally got the courage up to ask Dan to be her valentine, which he accepted and soon after they started dating.
After several ordering complications with the ring, Dan and Angie just got back from visiting Illinois. In typical Dan fashion, he wanted to wait until the most inopportune time to pop the question; in this case, in the middle of Angie changing out of muddy clothes. As she left the bathroom, he popped up from behind the bed and gave her a big hug, taking her hand with the ring box. Dan asked her "Forever?" to which Angie tearfully replied, "Forever."
