This is our favorite hiking area in Tucson. The landscape is a true representation of the Sonoran desert and they are a variety of different hikes for all different skill levels! Our favorites are Seven Falls (if they are actually flowing), Blacketts Ridge (This one is a challenge, but it is hands down the best view of Tucson), and the Phone Line trail. But there are lots of other options too (a good majority we haven't even been able to explore yet).
This is a great "hike" if you are looking for a something that doesn't require a huge time commitment but still satisfies your nature fix! The path is paved and although it can get steeper towards the top, you are rewarded with an outstanding view of the city!
Mt. Lemmon is a scenic drive and provides a variety of activities. There are numerous hiking trails, scenic look outs, a chair lift up at the ski valley, or you could grab a bite to eat at the Cookie Cabin. The scenery changes pretty quickly from desert to forest so it makes for a really nice drive!
This is a great way to get a close up look at all the desert wildlife that inhabits Tucson! You can see mountain lions, rattle snakes, gila monsters, javelinas and a whole lot more here!
The San Xavier Mission Church was built in the 1700s and is a Tucson staple! It is a great place to visit to snap some cool photos and learn more about the history of southern Arizona.
There are so many places that offer excellent Mexican cuisine, however this one is ALWAYS one of our first stops while we visit. We highly recommend trying the Sonoran hot dogs (especially if this is your first trip to Arizona). The mesquite grilled chicken salad with the cilantro dressing is also wonderful!
One of the best breakfast spots in town, located in the historic hotel congress
Known for their wood fired Neapolitan pizza, but they have a lot of great dishes. This place has a great atmosphere in the restaurant, a large outdoor area that connects to a beer garden and then a small speakeasy style bar in the basement.
Definitely a hidden gem! This is one of our favorite spots in town. Their chickens wings and fried rice are always a great choice, but they have a lot of other great options.
Amazing breakfast spot close to the wedding venue. Make sure to order a bubble waffle for the table.
Close to the wedding venue and they will make the salsa at the table in front of you!
Sarah and I tried this spot a little before we moved and we really regret not trying it sooner. Lots of different quesadilla options but the shrimp is hands down our favorite!
Another great breakfast option
This is a fun Italian chain specific to Arizona!
This place has a great atmosphere and good food and drinks. Really big space with ping pong, bags, shuffleboard and more!
One of Tucson's best restaurants and it is conveniently located close to the wedding venue!
Great brewery if you're down in Tucson checking out the eclectic 4th Avenue shops. They always seem to have a beer infused with chiles and they have an amazing Mangonada sour.
We said "I love you" for the first time over the Elliott's cheese sticks. They're wrapped in a wonton and served with vodka sauce, so as you can imagine it was a memorable experience.
Sarah’s favorite Tucson workout, if you’re like her and have the need to check out local fitness everywhere you go. (Let me also say that I workout more on the road than at home).
