FAQs

The only "bad" questions are the ones you choose not to ask. If you don't see your question listed, just ask.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP yes or decline with regret before September 13. The sooner we know who is coming, the better we can plan.

Question

What do we need to know about the venue?

Answer

The Blaisdell is a beautifully restored historic mansion originally built in 1915 in the heart of Minneapolis. Please use the link below to see pictures and learn more: https://www.theblaisdell.com

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress is semi-formal. The bride and groom will be in formal attire. Bright festive colors are welcome. The ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception/dancing will be in the same location so make sure to wear something that will be comfortable for all those activities. Above all else, this is a joyful day. What you wear should bring you joy.

Question

Can I bring a date or plus-one?

Answer

Everyone listed on your invitation is invited.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Everyone whose name was listed on your invitation is welcome. Games and coloring pages of the bride and groom will be provided for kids (and adults as well! Don't let the kids have all the fun!). The venue's rules state that kids playing in the downstairs game room must be supervised by at least one adult. Kids meals will be provided to our younger friends.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Free parking is available at the City of Lakes Waldorf School immediately across the street from the venue. The parking lot will open to wedding guests at 1:30pm. The ceremony will begin at 2:00. Parking Address: City of Lakes Waldorf School, 2344 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis. Upon arrival, drive to the far west side of the lot to park near the playground and follow the sidewalk behind the retaining wall to find the walking gate located on Blaisdell Ave. Use the crosswalk to cross the street and there you will find The Blaisdell on the corner of 24th street and Blaisdell Ave. If you need closer or accessible parking and/or entrance to the venue, please reach out to Riise and Casey directly.

Question

Will dietary needs and preferences be accommodated?

Answer

Dinner and dessert will be served buffet-style and will include, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have blocked out rooms in two downtown Minneapolis hotels. Minneapolis has many great hotels at all price ranges as well as plenty of Airbnb options. To assist our out-of-town guests, we have researched travel and lodging options. See the Travel and Lodging section of the website for full details.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! Please see the registry section of the website for full information. We are also registered at Crate & Barrel, please find the link here https://bit.ly/4b53VUe
