Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We both love children and especially your little ones- however, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event, with the exception of children in our immediate family. Invited children will show up as guests on the website when the time comes to RSVP. We encourage you to use this evening to have a fun, child-free date night! Please reach out if you have any questions regarding children in attendance.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are unable to accommodate plus ones at our wedding unless specifically indicated on your envelope. If you are confused, when you RSVP and type in your name, you will see if you have a plus one! We want everyone to share in the celebration and will ensure that everyone is around familiar and friendly company. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What attire should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail to black tie optional. This means that tuxes and gowns are welcome, as are cocktail dresses and suits. No jeans, please! Please avoid any full body white/ivory/anything that photographs or appears bridal in any way. White tops are fine. Thank you🩷 The ceremony and reception will be air conditioned. Here is a link that helps explain the dress code: https://www.brides.com/story/wedding-dress-code-explained#toc-cocktail

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Kindly RSVP by May 18th, 2024. If you cannot attend, we will miss you, and would appreciate you letting us know at the soonest opportunity. Those that do not RSVP by May 18th, 2024 - unfortunately, if you miss this date, we may be unable to accommodate your presence at the wedding, as we will send final head counts to vendors shortly after this deadline. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What should I do if I'm early to the ceremony? What about if I'm late to the ceremony?

Answer

We will begin welcoming guests at 3:30pm and the ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30pm. We advise you to arrive prior to 4:15. If you arrive early, the Shipyards is a great events space- on the first floor, there are both a bar and a coffee shop for you to get beverages at while you wait. The second floor is where the ceremony and reception will take place. On the second floor, you'll find our guestbook, games, and photo opportunities. Otherwise, you can sit back and relax and mingle until 4:30. As mentioned above, we highly advise you to arrive prior to 4:15. If you are not seated by 4:25, we will kindly ask you to enjoy a drink at the bar or a treat at the coffee shop until the ceremony is over. We ask this because we do not want our ceremony being interrupted. Thank you for understanding and respecting this firm expectation for our ceremony.

Question

Since there will be alcohol, what do we do about driving?

Answer

We do not advise drinking and driving. If you plan on drinking, please be sure to have a designated driver on hand, or be prepared to take an Uber or Lyft to your lodging! If you are staying at a hotel, all listed stays are within a 20 minute radius of the event center.

Question

I have a question that isn't answered, or I was recommended to contact Ryan or Alexandra. How can I contact you?

Answer

You can reach out to us by text message and we will get back to you with more information or with an answer. If you do not have either of our contact information, please reach out to our parents for our contact information, then text us. This is the easiest way for us to communicate directly with you, without putting our personal information on the internet for the world to see and scammers to obtain.
