At Ohio State, Ryan & Alexandra were both members of Camp Kesem, and both great friends of Justin Thomas. While the two had met briefly before, it wasn’t until the day of a truly exhilarating summer camp training day that Ryan caught Alexandra’s eye. She immediately started pestering Justin about Ryan. Nonstop. I’m sure Justin absolutely loved being the third wheel from May 2017 through December 2017, when neither of them would push the friendship limit, while Justin tried his hardest to get the two together. They became quick friends, because who wouldn’t want to be friends with either of them, and eventually Ryan started texting Alexandra solely to send pictures to her so he could save pictures from his phone to his computer. Never once did Alexandra tell him “you could just text them to your own phone number” because she adored seeing pictures that he was in, and he was horribly inactive on instagram. How was she supposed to send pictures of him to her friends? Finally, Ryan found out Alexandra never had a root beer float before. This was something Ryan felt needed to be changed immediately. He invited her over on December 1, 2017 for root beer floats and Home Alone (a movie she had never seen, because those who know Alix know she highly prefers cartoon movies to movies with real live people, and movies with songs to sing along to over movies that do not have a musical presence). Justin’s work was done the night of the root beer floats, and now, six years and one dog later, Alexandra & Ryan will finally be saying I do, conveniently with Justin (and other loved ones who have supported them along the way) at their sides. A final note… If you were wondering how Alexandra felt about the root beer float, she hasn’t had one since. It would definitely be her preferred way to consume root beer, but dark pop has never been her thing. Sprite, gingerale, and orange soda were much more her speed, so add some ice cream to those & she’ll be set.
