We met through work at Northstone Country Club. Our company Christmas party is when it all started... to think I almost didn't go! He was wearing a Dallas Cowboys hat, so naturally my opening line was, "You're a Cowboys fan?" We immediately hit it off discussing our love for the team. After months of flirting, he slipped me his number on the bottom of a golf score card. I played hard to get for a few days, but of course I texted him. It's been a "hole" lotta love since.
BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! I had wanted to go to the Biltmore Estate for years, and we almost went in 2020, but covid happened. As soon as we started traveling North on interstate 77, I knew that was Ethan's plan!! I definitely wasn't expecting anything else to happen. We stopped at Starbucks, a rare treat, and Chick-fil-a, my fav. We toured, shopped and did a wine tasting in Deer Village, then had a unique dinner at the Stable Cafe. The tour of the Estate was magical and grand with all of the Christmas decorations! Ethan "proposed" we go get our pictures taken in front of the lit up trees. If anyone knows me, lights at Christmas time is my favorite thing, so of course he knew I'd want to capture the moment. Luckily a bystander was there and willing to take the photos considering it was after 9pm. After playing along getting some photos, Ethan got down on one knee, asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, and in absolute shock and sheer happiness, I said YES!
2024 will mark our 9 year anniversary. We have been through so much life together. Intense loss, many life changes, and so much fun. We are excited to take this next step in our relationship to honor God bringing us together and to celebrate a lifetime of love to come.
