We met seemingly randomly at Rock Bottom Brewery. Bryan was there with long time friend Aaron Grossbard and Jaime's good friend Oriana. Jaime soon walked in with her longtime friend Brittney and saw the three in a booth. Coincidentally, Jaime knew Aaron from the dorms freshman year in college, and met Oriana that same year through Aaron and other mutual friends. When Jaime approached them all to say hi, she decided to sit for a while to get to know Bryan better as he had sparked her interest.

After our initial meeting, Bryan took a liking to trips up to Bellingham, Washington to hang with Aaron's Western Washington University crew - but ultimately for the opportunity to go dancing with Jaime. We quickly became natural friends until the love between us could not be contained, even with Jaime's inadvertently playing "hard-to-get"! When Jaime ended up moving back to the Seattle, we continued to get together with mutual friends and finally had to establish our relationship.

Flash forward seven years to Jaime's birthday. Before a day out in wine country with our friends, Bryan suggested a casual walk for some "calm before the storm." We walked a couple blocks to the local park, and in the middle of a clearing, Bryan got down to let Jaime know she "was the love of his life" and asked her to marry him. This was followed by their parents, brother Alex, and sister in law Kim coming out from behind trees to help celebrate with a champagne toast. The day continued with Jaime excitedly announcing to her friends that she was engaged as they arrived to help celebrate her birthday. The night was capped with a game night and pajama party at our house and we couldn't have imagined a better way to celebrate the day!
