We met on Ashlee's first day at Yogurtland. William was the training supervisor, but we didn't start dating until after he left the company (no need to notify HR). We enjoyed each others company and being around each other felt really easy.

A week before our six year anniversary, William booked a weekend trip to Malibu. He rented a stunning Airbnb in the hills overlooking PCH and the ocean. On the day of the proposal, we made a charcuterie board and dined on the balcony. We spent the day playing board games and relaxing. William made a delicious steak and mashed potato dinner (it was a callback to the first meal he had prepared for us on a previous trip). At sunset, we walked out into the backyard and William delivered a speech he had prepared. He got down on one knee and proposed. Ashlee gave an excited "yes!".
