Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Whitney Pettis and Shane Jester
Charleston is on of our favorite places of all-time and we're excited to share some of our favorite spots with you. We spent a lot of time doing "market research" for this section of our site and thus gained several lbs.

Boone Hall Plantation

1235 Long Point Rd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464
, (843) 853-8000

This is the plantation where scenes from The Notebook where filmed and where Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married. More notably, it's where Shane PLANNED for us to get engaged - he'd staged a photographer, found the perfect spot, and then weather destroyed those plans as we didn't arrive in Charleston that day until too late to visit the Plantation before it closed. Still holds a special place in our engagement story. Just a quick 15-20minute Uber ride away from downtown.

Charleston Carriage Works

20 Anson Street, Charleston, SC 29401
, (843) 779-1279

There are several carriage tour companies that offer a variety of types of tours. We recommend checking one out to get to see the rich history of the city and the beautiful homes.

Charleston Haunted Pub Crawl

18 Anson Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Ghosts + beer. What more can we say?

Market Street

Market Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Charleston City Market is one of the nation's oldest public markets and the cultural heart of Charleston. They are home to more than 300 vibrant entrepreneurs. No matter what time of day or season you plan to visit, there is something to see, do, taste, and take home as a souvenir from the Charleston City Market! CHARLESTON CITY DAY MARKET Operates daily from 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. in three open air sheds as well as the enclosed Great Hall. CHARLESTON CITY NIGHT MARKET Operates on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays from 6:30 - 10:30 p.m. outdoors.

South Carolina Aquarium

100 Aquarium Wharf, Charleston, SC 29401

Fort Sumter Tours

340 Concord Street, Charleston, SC 29401
, (843) 722-2628

Fort Sumter National Monument

SC 29412
(843) 883-3123
For all the days along the way
