This is the plantation where scenes from The Notebook where filmed and where Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively got married. More notably, it's where Shane PLANNED for us to get engaged - he'd staged a photographer, found the perfect spot, and then weather destroyed those plans as we didn't arrive in Charleston that day until too late to visit the Plantation before it closed. Still holds a special place in our engagement story. Just a quick 15-20minute Uber ride away from downtown.
There are several carriage tour companies that offer a variety of types of tours. We recommend checking one out to get to see the rich history of the city and the beautiful homes.
Ghosts + beer. What more can we say?
