Question

What is a second line parade?

Answer

A "second line" is a celebratory tradition in New Orleans. The origin of the second line is from funeral traditions where the jazz band would play music to celebrate the life of the deceased. Over time it has turned into a wedding tradition where the jazz band plays music to celebrate the new life of the couple. There will be a live jazz band and police motorcycles escorting us from the restaurant back to bourbon street. Get ready to stroll, dance, and swing your handkerchiefs with us as we parade through New Orleans!

Question

What is the weather like in New Orleans in May?

Answer

The average temperature in New Orleans for the month of May is 85 but can range from around 75-90 degrees. Dress to stay cool and comfortable!

Question

Can we bring our kid(s) with us?

Answer

Although we love all of our family and friend's children, due to our limited space and guestlist, our wedding ceremony and reception dinner will be adult-only. Thank you for understanding.

Question

What if we can't make it?

Answer

Although we want to have all of our friends and family in New Orleans with us to celebrate, we completely understand that not everyone is able to travel for a destination wedding. If you are unable to make it, simple reply so on our "RSVP" page to help us plan accordingly. You can still celebrate with us at our sendoff cookout that will be held prior to wedding weekend!
