Our lives crossed paths serendipitously in Great Falls National Park in Northern Virginia, when we simply "hiked" into each other. Meghan and her dear friend, Barbara, were enjoying a lovely late summer stroll when they stumbled upon Matt and his buddy, Ryan. While trying to play it coy, Meghan and Barbara - being more seasoned Great Falls explorers - made sure the two seemingly eligible bachelors didn't miss the main attraction, the Great Falls! We trailed one another the rest of the way, the whole time Matt plotting how he could see Meghan again. Ever the gentleman, Matt leveraged Ryan as a wingman and successfully secured Meghan's phone number. They went on their first date for pizza in Georgetown a week later, and the rest... is history.
Our journey to connubial bliss began on a glorious December afternoon in Old Town Alexandria. After months of scouring the globe in search of the perfect gemstone to reflect his love for Meghan, Matt found her forever stone and plotted the Big Day along the Alexandria Waterfront - a special place that we've spent countless hours over the years getting to know each other. On the eve of our dating anniversary, Matt sold Meghan on a casual Waterfront walk and, after noticing Meghan was peculiarly well-dressed for an innocent afternoon stroll, quietly wondered if his secret plot was foiled. Nevertheless, he charged on. With friendly photographers clandestinely in place, mindfully oriented to capture Meghan's self-proclaimed "good side," Matt dropped to one knee and asked Meghan to turn two years into forever.
