Mike and Christina met through one of the oldest matchmaking services in the country: the General Electric Company (est. 1892). Their story begins in 2016 when they moved to Boston for their 4th and final GE rotations. A mutual friend introduced them via email prior to them moving and Mike’s jokes hit hard from the start. It took about a year for them to make it official, but I think, deep down, they both just always knew. It’s hard to say exactly when but if they had to recall a ‘first date,’ it was a gorgeous sunny day where they spontaneously and aimlessly explored the nooks and crannies of Boston by foot. What originally was intended to be just brunch turned into a full day of exchanging stories, laughs, pains and philosophies about life as they openly welcomed whatever opportunities the city presented to them. This type of spontaneity and mutual appreciation for life’s little moments have consistently been two main ingredients of their favorite adventures since. The last six years have zipped by with the perfect mix of constancy and change. They played “Jim and Pam” at GE until Christina left to work for BMC in 2019, got to travel until COVID put the world on hold, and learned to take life slowly and get creative day by day through the pandemic. Then in 2021, they took the leap of moving in together and buying their first home shortly thereafter. The fenced-in yard made it a no brainer to get Meeko <3, and they love putting down roots in the city that stole their hearts. One of Mike’s first “tests” for Christina back in 2017 was to see if she’d give up her first time seeing John Mayer to drive back from CT to Boston because he locked himself out of his apt…needless to say, she obliged. He decided to bring it full circle last October by pretending the John Mayer concert in Boston was a customer event and, at last, proposed! They’re so excited to start the next phase of their lives together and can’t wait to celebrate with you in July.
