Beautiful theme park nearby with roller coasters, great entertainment, and great food! Mom and I sang both sang here "back in the day," and my family has been coming here for decades.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

If the weather is nice, this beach is worth the drive. If you get down there, you have to go to Waterman's and order an Orange Crush.

Virginia Beach Oceanfront

Battlefields and Yorktown Beach, right on the York River. This was the place to be in the summer. The Duke of York is located here, and the other hotels are about 15 minutes away.

Historic Yorktown

Talk about taking a step back in time. These buildings are mostly originals, dating back to the 1700s. Everyone working here is also in Colonial dress. You'll forget it's 2021.
