After having to postpone our wedding (originally planned for April 25, 2020), we decided to make it official and have a small legal ceremony in Ross's parents' back yard on July 7, 2020. Now, FINALLY, we're able to make our vows before God and our friends & family. We can't express how much this day means to us and we couldn't be more excited- we have so much to celebrate!!
Ross and I met through a mutual friend one short month after I moved to New York City. When I first saw him, birds sang, volcanos erupted, and fireworks exploded. Okay, that might be an exaggeration... but time definitely stood still. Several seconds passed before that mutual friend stepped back and asked, "Do you guys know each other?" Ross and I ended that night with 4am omelets, swapped numbers, and a friendly hug that hoped for more. The next day I called a few people and told them I had met my future husband. I couldn't put into words what it was that drew me to him, or how I knew right then and there that he was the one. But I did. I knew it. Fair disclaimer: Ross and I met once prior to that night, but I don't remember that encounter. You'll have to ask him for that story.
