FAQs

Question

What time does it start?

Answer

You should plan to arrive around 4:30pm in order to give yourself some time to park and make your way to the ceremony space. The ceremony will start at 4:45pm. The reception immediately follows the ceremony inside of the venue

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly request you dress formally for our celebration. We have waited so long to “make it official” and would love for this to be a grand celebration! While you should be comfortable in your attire we ask you refrain from wearing any jeans, sneakers, or baseball hats. Please note that the ceremony is planned to be held outdoors at sunset, and given the unpredictable weather at this time of year it might be a bit chilly. Please consider bringing your coat or a wrap to use during the ceremony. The rest of the celebration will be held indoors and a coat check will of course be available free of charge.

Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same place? Is it wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes and yes! We intend to have the ceremony on the back patio overlooking the property. While it is located a level below the main entrance there is a ramp along the right side of the venue that can be used to access the ceremony space without stairs. The interior of the venue is ground level and all of the reception will be on this level.

Question

When and how do we RSVP?

Answer

RSVP were due by October 1, 2022. If we did not receive a response we assumed that meant you were unable to join us. If you need to change your RSVP please contact us immediately, as headcount and table arrangements have already been submitted. You can email us at SchavelWedding@gmail.com or call/text us directly

Question

Are we allowed to bring the kids?

Answer

While we love the littles in your life, this is an adult only affair and we kindly request you attend without them. As parents we understand it can be hard to arrange childcare, but appreciate you planning ahead and leaving the little ones at home in order to enjoy this special moment with us

Question

Can we bring guests?

Answer

While our general disposition is usually “the more the merrier”, given the current climate of our world and budgeting restrictions we are keeping our event to a strict guest list. Your invitation specifies who is invited, and when you RSVP via this website it will also indicate who is invited. If you have a “guest” listed and are bringing one along please add their name for us! Please refrain from extending the invite to anyone else as there will be no accommodations for uninvited guests. If you have any questions or concerns please email us at SchavelWedding@gmail.com and we’ll promptly get back to you

Question

Is there dinner? What about drinks?

Answer

Yes and yes! We want to fill your bellies AND your cups!! There will be a variety of food throughout the night and while the drinks are on us, please remember to tip your bartenders! If you have any specific food allergies or dietary please feel free to make us aware beforehand if you are concerned. We have ensured our venue has both vegetarian and gluten-free options available for our guests who may need them.

Question

Is there overnight accommodations?

Answer

Yes! There is a hotel directly next to the venue (literally 1 minute walk)! At this time the hotel is sold out for the weekend of our wedding, however if you need accommodations please reach out to us as we were able to leave a room on reserve. There is also a lounge in the hotel with a bar that stays open a few hours after the reception ends so come hang with us for an “after party” 😆 There is also a breakfast buffet the following morning, we will be attending it if you’d like to join us! For those traveling from out of state please also see airport & train info under the “Travel” page.

Question

Where can I park? Is it free?

Answer

Yes there will be Valet parking available!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of your ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

Yes, in fact we encourage you to! However, we do ask that you be respectful of our photographer and allow him direct, unobstructed access. Nothing is worse than your professional photos having a bunch of cell phone screens in it 🫣 We also ask that you please DO NOT stand and obstruct the view of other guests and do not lean/stand in the aisle at anytime during the ceremony. If you’d like to take pictures please take them directly from your seat or from the perimeter of the ceremony space. During the reception please take as many photos as you’d like! We simply ask you refrain from standing directly in front of us during special reception moments to take photos so that the photographer and other guests can have unobstructed views. Help us see all the photos from our special day by using our hashtag #WeddingBellsForTheSchavels when you share on social media!!
