Question

Can we fly into Puerto Peñasco?

Answer

There are no flights into Peñasco any longer. The closest airport to fly into is Tucson or Phoenix, & rental companies such as Enterprise, Hertz, & Alamo will allow you to take select rental cars into Mexico. You must add their Mexican insurance to do so - I've heard this quoted around $39/day.

Question

How do I get to Penasco if I fly into Phoenix or Tucson?

Answer

Rental companies such as Phoenix Car Rentals, Hertz, Thrifty, & Alamo will allow you to take select rental cars into Mexico. You must add their Mexican insurance to do so - we've heard this quoted around $39/day. Head Out to Rocky Point Shuttle Service offers shuttle services from the airports. Their link is below. https://www.facebook.com/headout

Question

Can I drive my own car into Mexico?

Answer

Yes, but you need Mexican insurance for the duration of your stay. You can purchase this from gas stations before crossing the border, or consult with a company beforehand for better prices. Lewis & Lewis has been highly recommended & you can get an instant quote on your vehicle at this link - https://www.mexicanautoinsurance.com/quote/

Question

What is the attire for the wedding?

Answer

The attire is beach casual so sundresses, maxi dresses, dressy sandals, nice button down shirts or polo, linen pants, or chino shorts. Please avoid denim/jeans or any actual beachwear or swimwear. You may want to bring a sweater - it gets chilly when the sun goes down, & we'll be outside all night!

Question

Where should I get Mexican insurance for my car?

Answer

Here are a few websites where you can get instant quotes: mexicanautoinsurance.com bestmex.com rockypointinsurance.mx bajabound.com Geico also offers Mexican insurance, as your local insurance agent may as well. If you're renting a car, they usually require you to purchase their Mexican insurance from them.
