Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Emily Kaufmann and Jeremy Wauls
We're so excited to share some of our favorite Austin spots with you. Austin is Texas Capital so there are plenty of historical things to do, but here are some things that'll make you feel like a local. After all Emily lived here for 22 years and knows the best spots.

Loro Austin

2115 South Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78704

Emily's favorite restaurant. The owner of famous Franklins BBQ and owner of famous Uchi Sushi came together to make this Austin favorite.

Vespaio Restaurant

1610 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704

This Italian favorite was our go-to date night spot. Get a creamy espresso martini while there.

Matt's El Rancho

2613 South Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78704

Good tex-mex and good margaritas. Beautiful patio eating.

Chuy's

1728 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX 78704

The original Chuy's for margs and queso

1618 Asian Fusion

1618 East Riverside Drive, Austin, TX 78741

One of our favorites. Expect a wait.

Tiki Tatsu-Ya

1300 South Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78704

Dinner, Drinks and a show. Requires a reservation and best with a group.

Circuit of the Americas

9201 Circuit of the Americas Boulevard, Austin, TX 78617

Formula 1 race track that will most likely have an event the weekend of the wedding.

Superstition

110 East Riverside Drive, Austin, TX 78704

Fun disco club

Armadillo Den

10106 Menchaca Road, Austin, TX 78748

Our favorite south side outdoor bar. Parking is very limited here. You can park at the bar next door and walk over. They just make you pay for the parking by ordering a drink at their bar.

Peter Pan Mini-Golf

1207 Barton Springs Road, Austin, TX 78704

Pinthouse Pizza

4236 South Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78704

Really good pizza and craft beer. Home of Emily's favorite craft beer, the Electric Jellyfish.

Trona

1812 East 12th Street, Austin, TX 78702

Speak Easy with delicious cocktails and immaculate vibes.

Gabriela's South Austin

9600 S I-35 Frontage Rd Ste. B-500, Austin, TX 78748

We like this place for street tacos and queso birria. There is a Gabriela's downtown location, but we like this one best for the space on the patio.

Rock Rose Avenue

Rock Rose Avenue, Austin, TX 78758

This street has a handful of bars in the Domain shopping area. This is a good day drinking area with many different themes and vibes. You will find an array of Austinites here.

The Domain Austin

11410 Century Oaks Terr, Austin, TX 78758

Miles of the best outdoor shopping. Visit the Starbucks Reserves, and Rock Rose Street when you go.

Rainey Street

Rainey Street, Austin, TX 78701

Another good bar hopping area, day or night. This street has houses turned into bars with southern charm.

Zilker Metropolitan Park

2100 Barton Springs Rd, Austin, TX 78746

Jeremy and Emily spent many days here with their dog, Bentley. This is Austin's city park with a grand view of the city and lots of off leash happy dogs. Barton Springs also connects to Zilker, and Lady Bird Lake with a active trail. The ACL music festival is also hosted here.

SoCo district

S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704

This area on South Congress has a lot of Austin original boutiques and restaurants. Most weekends there will also be pop-up shops along this street. Some of our favorites along this strip: Home Slice Pizza, Aba, Kendra Scott, Vespaio, Torchy's Tacos, Allen's Boots, Jo's Hot Coffee. This street also has a grand view of the capital.

Gaines Park at Barton Creek Greenbelt

3918 S Mopac Expy Svrd, Austin, TX 78746

This is a great hiking trail trough the Austin Greenbelt.

For all the days along the way
