We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Emma & AJ met in December of 2019 on Hinge, a dating app. AJ responded to a question about "What game show would you be on" with "$100,000 Pyramid." They chatted briefly, but fizzled because AJ got off the app. In late January 2020, AJ reached out to Emma on Instagram (conveniently while in line to get fried chicken at his favorite place). They started chatting again, and their first date was dinner at Keystone and a Cincinnati Cyclones Hockey Game. The next date was AJ's birthday, and Emma took him (and beat him) in axe throwing. We officially started dating on 3/19/2020, RIGHT as a global pandemic was beginning.

Emma's birthday was on December 13, 2023. She kept badgering AJ about proposing since it had been 3.5 years! Emma went out to dinner for her birthday with some of her friends. Unbeknownst to her, AJ was planning the engagement and her friends were in on it! AJ offered to drive Emma and her friends to a restaurant in downtown Cincinnati. She never suspected a thing! When they got home, he went to turn on the Christmas lights on that he put up earlier that day. He proposed in front of their new home! After that, they went inside and celebrated with close friends and family.
