In February of 2020, Wade and I met on a dating app. After a couple weeks of chatting our schedules lined up and we made plans to get drinks. When the time came around we both wanted to stay home playing video games--but we suffered through the getting ready and driving to actually show up for the date. I thought he was so handsome. I think that we were both surprised that it went great! I wanted to see him sooner than two weeks later, but the second date was a Pompeii exhibit and dinner. It turned out even better than the first. Before we had time to make it official, Covid slowed us down. We coped by playing a homesteading game online together and talking on the phone entirely too much. We took it slow, and by the end of the first year we knew things were going right. The stars must have aligned, because we were able to get a place of our own! The last two years we have spent learning how to work on projects together by fixing up our house and yard...a never-ending wave of projects! But I wouldn't want to work on them with anyone else. I am so excited for all of the new projects that we have lined up and the ones that we haven't recognized yet. The truth. As told by Emily. xo
