Victoria: “I knew Taylor was the one because every time I was around him I felt that my heart was completely at peace. Anyone who has spent time around Taylor knows that he has such a grounding presence about him that makes you feel immediately at ease. Taylor had been planning for months to propose to Victoria while on a trip to Laguna Beach over New Years. Unfortunately, their trip got off to a rocky start due to a severe bout of food poisoning courtesy of Shake Shack, leaving them both extremely sick for 3 days. Taylor grew increasingly worried that his proposal plans would be derailed by this unfortunate stroke of bad luck. Little did he realize that this setback would inadvertently help him keep his proposal a surprise. Victoria was so preoccupied with food poisoning that the idea of a proposal hadn't even crossed her mind. After recovering a few days later, Taylor convinced Victoria to take a day trip to Laguna Beach, where he got down on one knee and popped the question. The private beach that Taylor proposed on was called “Victoria Beach” making the proposal even more meaningful. California will forever hold a special place in Victoria & Taylor’s hearts!
