COVID Travel
Answer
You can travel to Italy with a negative COVID PCR or Rapid Antigen Test. As of February 2022, you will need a negative test to depart from the US and for you trip back to the US. We can help you book a COVID test in Italy for your return flight ($20). To enter restaurants, shops, museums, and access public transportation you will need to provide your CDC vaccination record showing vaccination within the past six months. Otherwise, if you previously had COVID within the same previous six-month timeframe you may show proof of immunity with a positive COVID test. For outdoor activities, such as outdoor dining, you DO NOT need to show proof of immunity.

How easy it is to travel to Italy?

It is fairly easy to travel to Italy from the US, as US citizens do not need a visa. You just need to pass security at the airport

How long does it take to fly to Milan?
Answer
Depending on the flight(s) it takes 7 hours from NY and up to 16 hours from Austin (considering also the layover at the airport between flights).

How expensive it is to fly?

Usually in the summer roundtrips vary between $800 and $1400. $800 flights usually do not include a checked-in bag and are offered by low cost companies (Airitaly, Norwegian, Condor). All other flights should at least include one checked-in bag.

How much does a hotel cost?
Answer
The price per night per person should not be more than $70. The hotel we chose for our guests will be around $55-60 per person. Please be aware that in different towns (Milan, Florence, Rome) there is a tourist tax that is directly applied to your hotel final cost.

How much does food cost in Italy?
Answer
Everything is rather cheap! You can have a wonderful meal for $15 or less. Plus, Italians like to substitute one meal with ice-cream during the summer, and a good gelato is only 2-3 euros!
