On the second attempt, 1 year later, Jenna finally convinced Brian and Cassandra to go on a double date with her and Adam. It is because of Jenna that pizza and board games in Xander and Annerien's basement resulted in us celebrating our wedding together January 25, 2025. It seemed only fitting that Jenna, the person who knew us before, after, and is responsible for bringing us together, would be the one to marry us.

Tessa Zucht

Maid of Honor

Cassandra met Tessa July 30th, 2001 at the hospital, when Tessa gifted her a Magna Doodle. From this day forward, Cassandra knew she had the perfect fiery friend for playing dress up with American Girl dolls, making gum commercials on iPods, and laughing through life with. Just as Tessa has added spice to Cassandra's life, we are excited for her to add warmth to our wedding day.

Dakota Leenstra

Best Man

Brian and Dakota go way back, all the way back to preschool believe it or not. Friends through grade school and University at the U of L, their friendship has been characterized by lofty, yet questionable, planning and a lot of laughs. Whether it be getting lost in the woods repeatedly, cars almost falling off a flat deck trailer, a short lived vlogging career, or finishing chemistry reports 4am the night it was due, Dakota has been a constant fixture in Brian's best stories. As such, it's only natural that he would be a part of this story too.

Adam White

Groomsman

Also known as Jenna's (at the time of writing, soon to be) husband, Adam is both Brian's brother-in-law and good friend. Fishing, pub trivia, changing tires, and long chats into the evening are all fixtures of this important relationship. Always ready to lend a hand, Adam has been there to help with moving, lifting canoes, and pushing dead cars down the street. As such, it felt natural to ask for his help once again for this important day.

Julia Drinnan

Bridesmaid

Julia has been Cassandra's friend the longest – 20 years in fact. They spent their childhoods rotating between houses for sleepovers, walking to 7Eleven for slurpees, and endless summer days playing Ultimate Fireball on the trampoline. Julia has been a constant source of fun and support, and we can't wait for her to help us "jump" into this new chapter together.

Kinga Fransen

Bridesmaid

Kinga and Cassandra were destined to be friends. Kinga went to grade school in Cassandra's neighbourhood, and they did their nursing degree through the same program in Lethbridge, but they only first met virtually when Kinga reached out because they were both working as student nurses over the summer. From that moment on, Kinga has been a constant cheer leader and shoulder to lean on. Cassandra loved her so much that, when she moved to Calgary, she made sure to work on the same unit with Kinga. We love that she can be a part of our day!
