This is where Tyler and Deirdre got engaged! Highly recommend checking out the mansion tour, eating at the stable cafe, and strolling around the breathtaking gardens and conservatory.
Double D's Coffee & Desserts
This coffee/dessert shop is a renovated old double-decker bus! Pick up your treats from inside the bus and enjoy in the courtyard right outside before spending a morning exploring downtown!
Asheville Bee Charmer
This downtown Asheville store has a great selection of delicious honey! There is a honey tasting bar at the back where you can try free samples of really unique types of honey. (Warning - the firecracker hot honey WILL make your eyes water)
French Broad Chocolate Lounge
Dreamy chocolate lounge in the heart of downtown Asheville :)
Mast General Store Asheville
One of the many souvenir shops in downtown that has anything you might want to take home!
Grove Arcade
A beautiful indoor mall with shopping, restaurants, and just really cool plant/cozy library vibes :) The Battery Park Book Exchange & Champagne Bar is a must-see in the mall.
Highland Brewing Company
Chill brewery that is a great place to spend an afternoon! Grab a drink and listen to the live music inside or hang outside with the volleyball courts and disc golf course!
French Broad River Tubing
Float down the French Broad River in Asheville for a fun lazy day! Plan for 4-5 hours of float time.
Sliding Rock
Completely natural slip-and-slide-like waterfalls in the Pisgah Forest that are perfect to go to on a warm spring day! Lifeguards are on duty and restrooms are available 10AM - 6PM, 7 days a week :)
Craggy Gardens Hike
Easy 1.4 mile hike with amazing views right off of the Blue Ridge Parkway!
Black Balsam Knob Hike
Breathtaking moderate hike on the Art Loeb Trail that is 1.4 miles round trip with options to add on for a longer distance/more challenging hike. Deirdre and Tyler accidentally took the longer-distance route by making a wrong turn, but it can be less difficult if you make smarter choices :) Even so, this hike is Deirdre and Tyler's favorite in the area!
Looking Glass Rock Hike
Challenging 6-mile round trip hike to a very unique sheer face mountainside. Ollie was able to do this hike, so you can too!
Triple Falls, High Falls, and Hooker Falls Hikes
A series of short walks (less than half a mile each) to amazing waterfalls! These hikes are all right next to each other and very easy.
Rattlesnake Lodge Hike
Another great 2.8-mile moderate hike in Asheville! If you're looking for a closer option than the Pisgah Forest hikes, this is a good one!
