Kurby and Ty met at a summer internship in Houston. The engineering office had a business casual dress code so Ty wore a tucked-in button down shirt and slacks every day. All of the interns would meet up for lunch together at the office cafeteria. One day Kurby was standing in the lunch line behind Ty when she noticed that he had forgotten to fasten the button on his back pocket. To Ty's surprise, Kurby grabbed his back pocket and fastened it with a helpful smile. From that day on, Ty never buttoned his back pockets again! Over lunch Kurby and Ty learned about each other and found out that they both went to Texas A&M studying Mechanical Engineering. The following semester they went out on their first official date to a Fightin' Texas Aggie Football game.
