We are actually one of the rare love stories that began on Tinder! We bonded over our love for the San Francisco Giants and our excitement that Opening Day was just around the corner. For our first date, we both ordered fish tacos at The Libertine and spent the next few hours laughing and discussing how Trevor was a child actor on Roseanne and how Marissa was recently accepted to Physical Therapy school in Miami. After just a few weeks of dating and meeting each other's families, we both knew that the chemistry we had was special and something we should continue to pursue as a 3,000+ mile long distance relationship (Trevor's family had already welcomed Marissa to the family at this point). Our intuition was correct and we successfully made it through Marissa's time in Miami before she moved back to the Central Coast and permanently was reunited with Trevor!

The proposal happened at Barrelhouse Brewery in Paso Robles, CA, one of Marissa and Trevor's favorite places to go on the Central Coast. The plan was to fool Marissa into thinking that Trevor's mom was having a retirement party. It was the perfect reason to get Marissa and Trevor's family and friends together without her being suspicious. After enjoying a few adult beverages, Trevor's mom invited everyone over to the stage to take pictures. When it came down to Marissa and Trevor's turn to take pictures together, while posing for the picture Trevor got the ring out of his pocket, got down on his knee, and asked Marissa to marry him. When she said yes their families and all of the people at Barrelhouse gave them a very loud applause. They were officially engaged!
