It was the Fall of 2014, both attending California University of PA, Kara as a junior and Trent as a senior. Kara moved into her college house with her soccer roommates in August. It was not long before she noticed the cute boy next door. Trent and his roommates had lived in the house right next door. One day after class, Kara was walking up the hill with her friend Kayla to head back home. Trent walked passed the girls with a big smile and waved hello. Kara was so giddy talking about "the boy next door" as her and Kayla continued their walk. A couple of months later, Kara and her soccer team were in the finals in an away match against West Chester University. The devastating loss of her soccer game lead to the start of an incredible new journey. After returning from her game, Trent and his roommates decided to send over a small gift and note stating "sorry you lost your game, you had a great season! From the Neighbors". Kara nervously walked over to thank the boys next door. It was a quick encounter but Trent immediately caught her eye. Kara could not stop thinking about Trent which lead to Kara texting a teammate of hers that evening to share her number with Trent. Trent texted Kara within hours, they hung out that night, and have happily been together ever since.
