Alex Kundrot
Best Man
Alex is John’s best friend and college roommate. Alex and John can have fun anywhere, whether that’s playing video games or riffing in the front seat of the car while Allison and Kathryn (Alex’s wife) chat in the back. In fact, John and Alex have so much fun together that some have called their shenanigans “insufferable”. After failing to snag Alex himself, John decided to propose to Allison.
Kristen Traylor
Maid of Honor
Kristen is the middle Traylor sister, the Spongebob to Allison’s Squidward, and Olive’s favorite aunt (despite some fierce competition). Kristen deserves much credit for surviving Allison’s older sibling antics including, but not limited to, the time Allison ruined Christmas by showing her where Santa hid all the presents. Despite all this, Kristen invented National Sister Day, and celebrated the holiday even when Allison refused. These days, Allison and Kristen celebrate sisterhood by bonding over their love of dry red wine and their tendency toward extreme brand loyalty.
Rich King
Groomsman
Rich is John’s youngest brother. A married man himself, Rich has a son, named Sunder after his grandfather, but we heard John was a close second. Rich led the charge to move the King family to New England. The other siblings followed like lemmings, but not John! Despite John’s geographic limitations, he remains classified as a member of the King family due only to his strong resemblance to Rich.
Lauren Traylor
Maid of Honor
Lauren is Allison’s youngest sister and the source of some of the best phrases we’ve ever heard (wanna cookie?). In Allison’s humble opinion, Lauren has better taste than pretty much anyone in clothes, makeup, books, movies, and TV shows. As a result, pretty much the only thing Allison and Lauren have ever disagreed on in the way of lifestyle is spray tanning. We should also mention that Lauren pretty much invented hustling: we hope our future children inherit her work ethic.
Mary King
Bridesmaid
Mary is John’s sister, and quite possibly the friendliest person you will ever meet. In fact, Mary befriended Allison before John did—talk about incredible foresight. Over the years, Mary has also been a beloved running companion because she can keep up with John, but also has the patience to slow down to Allison’s pace.
Jordan Perras
Bridesmaid
Jordan was Allison's college roommate, and changed her life for the better when she announced she needed a solid nine hours of sleep every night. Fortunately, Allison taught Jordan an equally important life lesson: half and half is a much more effective coffee creamer than skim milk. Nowadays, Allison and Jordan sip their creamy coffee while perusing bookstores and exploring rural Texas together.
Tina King
Bridesmaid
Tina is the youngest King sib: she was 13 when we started dating, but will be old enough to drink by our wedding date. (You do the math!) John has admired Tina’s sense of humor for her entire life–as an attempt to match her level of goof, John entertained (read: annoyed) Tina throughout their childhood by ad-libbing songs with “Tina” in them. Fortunately for Tina, Allison now bears the brunt of John’s sense of humor.
Gaylen Alexander
Bridesmaid
Gaylen and Allison became fast friends in their freshman year of college when they discovered their shared love of adorable babies, men who cry happy tears, and Instagram accounts featuring one or both of these things. Gaylen also deserves much credit for inspiring us to join #SubaruCulture, and for inspiring John’s life aspiration to live in the mountains of Vermont.
Mason Gersh
Officiant
Mason is John’s oldest friend, and as we’ve been dating for quite some time, he’s become Allison’s friend too. Actually, that’s not exactly how the story goes, but close enough. Mason is perhaps best known as our go-to travel companion. We were shocked when, after enduring Allison’s travel stress and John’s tendency to need to pee at the least opportune moments, he agreed on another trip with us this past summer.
