    Welcome to Philly!

Welcome to Philly!

Whether you live in Philadelphia, visit frequently, or this is your first time, there's always room for a few recommendations. So: what do you want?

I want to do something "Philly."

If dancing to r&b at our wedding isn't enough, here are some other things that'll make you feel like you got at least some Brotherly Love out of your time in the city. • Reading Terminal Market — for large groups who don't know what they want for lunch, or couples who want to gawk at doughnuts being made. • Philly Art Museum — down the street from the hotels, this famous museum houses artifacts from all eras (and yes, those are the Rocky Steps out front). • Independence Hall — no, this is not where the Liberty Bell is, but it's still historic and worth the visit! • Liberty Bell Center — yes, this is where the Liberty Bell is. • Eat soft pretzels (at Miller's) and try water ice (at John's). • Schuylkill Trail & Elfreth's Alley — good spots to walk, run, or enjoy a mid-morning coffee. • Love Park — where the Love Statue is. • Chinese Lantern Festival — best at night, this spectacular event is unique to the season! • Founding Footsteps Tour — if you have the day and wanna go for it.

I want a dinner rec.

Hopefully not for Saturday! But if you're looking for a spot to grab food Friday (or are in Philly for an extended period of time), here are some of our favorite spots. You'll need reservations at a handful of these, so make sure to check! Near Welcome Drinks: • Standard Tap (Corner pub vibes with a cute lil rooftop) • Apricot Stone (BYOB Mediterranean) • Bar 1010 (Modern pizzeria) • Pera (BYOB Turkish) Near the Hotels: • Talula's Garden (higher-end American fare in a cute garden) • Pearl & Mary (higher-end seafood in a Parisian-style restaurant) • Monk's Café (Belgian spot with comfort food and great—but steep—beers) • Parc (French. DC folk: if you like Le Diplomate, this is for you) • The Dandelion (British? Modern? Classic? Whatever it is, it's cute and good)

I want a beer.

Don't blame ya. Here are a few nearby spots we love to grab a drink. • Standard Tap (also good for food!) • Victory Brewing (right outside hotels—can get quite crowded) • Glory Beer Bar (Old City) • Jerry's Bar (Northern Liberties) Note also: for those staying in The Logan, the hotel has an excellent rooftop bar with great views.

I want a cheesesteak.

Speaking of Philly. Don't just go anywhere for these classics: Skip the mainstream spots like Pat's and Geno's, and head to one of these if you want to feel nice and fat, without the tourist gimmicks. Heads-up: most are cash only! • Angelo's Pizzeria (South Philly) • Woodrow's (Society Hill) • Sonny's Steaks (Old Town) • Carmen's (Redding Terminal Market)

I want some good music while I pack—and travel.

Below is a playlist with 20 songs that will help you get in the mood for our wedding weekend—including a few you miiiiiight hear on Saturday night.

For all the days along the way
