Rancho San Antonio is one of our favorite places to hike, and was where we had our 3rd date! It's very close and convenient to Campbell, and there are trails for folks of all abilities. There's a great view of the entire South Bay Area from the vista point on Wildcat Loop / High Meadow trail, and on a clear day you can see all the way to San Francisco from the Stephen Abbors trail.
Campbell has a great farmers market on Sunday mornings. It's currently taking place at the Community Center parking lot.
We had our first date at The Vesper! They have delicious cocktails and small bites. Highly recommend a visit!
The Los Gatos Creek Trail runs along the creek for about 10 miles from Los Gatos to the Willow Glen area of San Jose. It's a great trail for a casual walk, a run, or a bike ride for all ages. It goes right by Lizzie's office!
Stop in for some ice cream at Campbell Creamery! We went there on our first date after The Vesper, and we love their ice cream!
Blue Line has our favorite pizza in the Bay Area! We love their truffle mushroom pizza.
BCBC is another of our favorite Campbell eateries. Try their Lady Marmalade burger and the cajun sweet potato fries!
The Alpine Inn is one of our favorite places to eat and hang out in the Bay Area. It's about 20 minutes from Campbell in Portola Valley, a hilly wooded area near Palo Alto. They have a great beer garden where you can grab a picnic table and order delicious food and drinks. They don't take reservations, so plan to wait for 15-30 minutes! It's worth the wait.
Henry Cowell State Park is a great place to see some big redwoods. It's about 30 minutes from Campbell in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Note - some trails are still closed from the forest fires last year - but there is still a lot of cool stuff to see.
Roaring Camp has an old steam train that can take you through the redwoods or even all the way to the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk. This is a great activity for kids!
Santa Cruz's beach boardwalk has carnival style rides and mini golf, but also a great view of the ocean! We recommend walking along West Cliff Drive, where you can see surfers and sometimes sea animals on one side, and beautiful houses on the other.
There are a number of fun vineyards in the Los Gatos and Saratoga areas. Some we recommend: Testarossa, Cooper-Garrod, Regale. Reservations are recommended but not always needed.
